terrible service

My little sister called to make reservations for a party of 8 and was told it was a first come, first serve basis. We arrived and was told that we would have a table in 15 mins or less. We waited and 2 tables of a party of 5 were sat before us, then a party of 7. We decided that we did not want to wait any longer. This place had such terrible service and the hostess was rude! I do not recommend this place for anyone of color because I strongly believe they did not want to seat my party.
- Pros: n/a
- Cons: service & management

The cheesecake factory is GREAT. Although it's usually busy, it's worth it. I've never had a bad experience. I love the style of the place, it's dim lights and it's busy. The food is GREAT!!!! I love their simple chicken littles to the sun dried tomatoe and chicken pasta. The sour-dough bread while you wait is my FAVORITE. And free refills on soda...The prices ARE GREAT!!!!

Went here for the first time a couple weeks ago and I won't be back. The food is good, but the table service was slow and poor, and the seating hostess was downright rude, being visibly annoyed that she had to wait for the slow walking speed of our 93-year-old guest. Finally the little darling just galloped ahead, slapped some menus on the table, and abandoned us before we were anywhere near the table. This, coupled with an outrageous wait time and ridiculously crowded lobby when the restaurant tables were mostly empty, indicates a poorly organized staff and / or an attempt at pretentious exclusivity. The food is mostly good, but not worth the noise level and aggravation of the poor service. Menu is misleading, tho, not mentioning any garlic in items that were soaked in way too much of it. Don't bother with this place. You can get good food and much better attitudes elsewhere.
- Pros: good food (watch the garlic levels though)
- Cons: terrible service, noise, long wait.
Decadent cheesecakes and classic American cuisine makes this a popular chain.

In Short
Faux-rustic finishes and colorful light fixtures abound at this almost always crowded chain. The thick-as-a-book menu features Americanized versions of worldly cuisines--Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai--but succeeds best with American classics. Burgers are a good choice, especially the ""Roadside Sliders,"" mini burgers served as appetizers. The myriad cheesecakes are over-the-top in concept and decadence. You'll leave full, with leftovers.

Good food, great service. A bit corporate but Edina doesn't mind.
The waitress probably threw your pizza in a tiny box because that's the only size to go's that they have. Take that up with management/corporate.
Why are there no lemons in the lemonade?

This used to be a decent place, but I wouldn't eat there again. Even though the place was nearly empty (we were there before the dinner rush), service was slow and uneven and it took quite awhile to get our food. My husband ordered the B*ng B*ng Shrimp (Citysearch wouldn't let me write the word b a n g!!), which was his favorite, and it didn't even look good, let alone taste good. When we asked the waitress to box up what was left of our dinners, she haphazardly threw my pizza into a way too small box. It was impossible to separate the slices because she piled them on top of each other.
There's plenty of other restaurants in this area to go eat at; don't bother eating here.
- Pros: Large and varied menu
- Cons: Slow service, poor quality food, usually extremely busy

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat, until I went for dinner for a friend?s birthday and left very angry before we were even seated. The manager was very unprofessional and discriminated us due to the color of our skin. I will never visit this establishment again and would recommend you proceed with caution if you fit this profile.
Who cares if it's a chain? Pretty darn good!

Ok, ok, ok! Usually chain restaurants can be a little bland- they get a lot of hype from hoighty toighty urban diners- let's all get over it, because the Cheesecake Factory always impresses! HUGE menu leaves plenty of room for diversity and choice. I have never had a bad meal. Always good- always filling!! Cheesecake is TO-DIE-FOR!! Lately, my husband and I have been skipping the dinners and just getting the cheesecake to go. There are convenient 'to-go' parking spaces up front, and it is well worth the drive to Edina on a lazy weekend night.
If you do go for dinner, expect to wait, I guess. Or try a weeknight...
- Pros: Cheesecake, cheesecake, cheesecake
- Cons: Crowded & busy, the southdale mall/parking
Loves it!

The Cheesecake Factory is great all around. Even though it is very busy, the wait is worth it. This restaurant has a wide-array of food to choose from...I've tried many things and have not been disappointed. Food presentation is fantastic...every plate is overflowing with food so I would recommend sharing or expect plenty of left-overs. The specialty drinks are also de-lish! But the best part has to be the cheesecake! You cannot go to The Cheescake Factory and not at least order cheescake to go! They have every kind you can think of. Plan on waiting for awhile on the weekends because this place gets really busy or go during the week when its not as busy. They don't accept reservations.
- Pros: Cheesecake!!
- Cons: Busy on the weekends
