Excellent care

I have had wonderful experiences with Banfield in Maplewood. I first took my cat there when she had been vomiting a few times in a day and as it was the weekend my normal vet at the time wasn't open. At Banfield they walked me through what they were doing and gave me the treatment options.

I had to take my cat back again for another emergency appointment when I found a lump on her jaw and again I was walked through the options for discovering what was wrong which turned out to be cancer. They gave me the option that I could have the lump removed at a great expense but with the vet's help I decided not to do that. At home I had to call multiple times for questions and each time the vet called back and answered the my questions completely.

When it finally came time to put down my cat the staff was exteremely kind and thoughful and gave me plenty of time to spend with my cat at the end. Since I decided to stay in the room the vet told me before hand exactly what was going to happen. After, I was sent a lovely card where the vet wrote a lot in the card with a nice quote and other staff also signed it.

Bad experience

My kitten had been vomiting for a week and not pooping. I took her in to this clinic, and they were so cold. They did not give me any options. They charged me 500 dollars for xrays and bloodwork, and they still dont know whats wrong with her. They want to charge me another 300 for additional tests and if needed surgery for 2000 dollars! They offer no other options and treat my pet like a number. I strongly recommend NOT using this clinic if you want a caring doctor and staff.
