AMI closure
by lyndasmith11
I was just thinking of making another appointment today when I learned the AMI is closed. Too bad you can not give negative ratings. I still have 10-12 sessions left. Does anyone know when AMI closed. I am available for a class action suit contact me at lyndasmith11@yahoo ( com) if anybody is interested.
- Pros: Fast service
- Cons: it closed
Not Happy
by burns22
I would diffently be interested in a class action law suite. I have been going there for hair treatment for 3 months and it costed me $2000.00 for a year. So I got about $500.00 worth of my money. I also have a sign agreement from Tom that if the treatment did not work that I would get my money back in full refund. I have talked to my lawyer and she said it would stand up in court. I will be filing paperwork with the court system to get my money back, that is if there is any money to get. Let's get him back!!!

I AM IN FOR THE CLASS ACTION DEAL!
I had a full package left!
academentia@gmail is where I can be reached if anyone else is serious. Make sure you also contact the MN attorney general and file a consumer complaint. Does anyone know WHY they closed?
- Cons: RIPPED ME OFF!
AMI Closing
by clwold
Anyone who is interested...I would LOVE to get a class action suit going, but don't really know how to start. I was in just 2 days before they closed! I have half of my treatments remaining and I am just SICK about the whole thing! Please let me know or post if there are any lawyers out there willing to take on this case or at least direct what we need to do.
AMI in Eagan closure

I was surpised about Avanced Medical closing - but after reading some of the postings, I guess I shouldn't be! I purschased a package and still have at least 5 treatments left. I think that Carolina deserves as much business as she can get at MediaSpa and I intended to take her up on her offer of a free 1/2 hour session.
I called my credit card company and may be able to get some of my money back. I also plan on calling the business bureau and the Minnesota Attorney General. While the idea of taking out my anger at the owner is very tempting, I think the best recourse for me is to see if I can get some refund and then continue with service elsewhere.
Rachel is from the Roseville area but I have no idea where she went to. If anyone finds out though I would also gladly give her my business as well.
(What comes around goes around Mr. Benson).
- Pros: Carolina, Rachel
- Cons: Knowingly stealing from customers
Does anyone know where Rachel went?
by MB232
I am trying to find out where Rachel went. she was my main and favorite girl. i called one day to make an apt. with her and they said she left. i hadn't gone there since and thankfully, unlike so many unfortunate people, i bought my microderms session by session. when i asked where she went they wouldn't tell me. I remember her telling my she lived somewhere in the north metro, i want to say white bear lake, but maybe not. or if anyone knows her last name maybe i could look her up. if anyone has any info please post it or send me a message. thank you!

New location, familiar faces
Carolina and S. Neiss have joined the Image Medispa Clinic at 7300 France Avenue South
Many of you know them from Advanced Medical Institute in Eagan. Carolina and S. Neiss are very sorry that the business had to close, but they are happy that it gave them an opportunity to continue work in a new medispa.
In recognition of the difficulty several clients have had with getting the services promised by ?package deals?,
Carolina is offering:
1st visit free for hair removal (limit of 30 min. session). Also, 2nd visits will be $39 for hair removal in smaller areas, other areas will be slightly more and $45 for microdermabrasion to help you complete your outstanding packages.
S. Neiss is offering:
$275.00 fist and second treatment for Lipodissolve.
$11.00 per unit for Botox on first visit.
$475.00 per syringe for Juvederm on first visit.
For more information or to schedule your next appointment, please call us at 952-746-1777.

New medispa

I, like the last review, had been going to AMI for the last couple of years. The staff was excellent and Carolina who does hair removal and is absolutely awesome, has moved on to Image Medispa at 7300 France and others may be going there too, so if you still want the great service from the staff at AMI go to Image Medispa, the physician is always there and it's a very nice place.
Gone like the wind!

I was a client at AMI for many years. AMI advertised more in their final weeks in business than most companies advertise in a year. I suspect the owner - Tom Benson must have sold a ton of prepaid services that he never intended to provide just in his last two or three weeks! Maybe the reason he closed so abruptly was because he had to get to the bank before 3 P.M. to deposit the money into the Tom Benson Retirement Fund! When I first went to AMI six years ago, the staff was awesome! The place was beautiful, the staff were well-trained professionals. When Tom bought the company in 2006, it was the beginning of the end! This was not a company that fell on hard times; this was a company that was run into the ground! The staff started disappearing one-by-one until they were all gone. As soon as I met Tom, I knew how to tell if he was lying...his lips would move! The only good that came out of this mess is that I just found out where Stephanie and Lori my favorite former technicians are working. They are now working at Rejuv Skin & Laser Clinic. I went there, the place is beautiful! Stephanie told me that the owner was a very reputable surgeon that was a joy to work with. At least now, I know where I am going?SEE YOU THERE!
- Pros: The Original Staff
- Cons: Tom Benson
Bad business
by outwestportland
Businesses like this, promoting hair removal, are unregulated in the state of Minnesota. All you need is a doctors signature/license and anyone can start their own hair removal clinic. Most of these places have no doctor on staff (or they show up once a month!), cosmetologists are doing the treatments, and just about anyone is running these business and selling us these packages. I would count this as a loss and a lesson to anyone who gave their money to this guy. You need to go a business that actually has a doctor, nurse practitioner, nurse, physician assistant, or esthetician on board - they are licensed, trained, insured, and have a medical or skincare background not just any background. Beware, all of these hair removal businesses, including other med spas and the like, are selling you products and services that are unregulated and for the most part, these people are in the business not because they are licensed medical professionals, because they can. Find out the local laws! All of these med spas and hair removal clinics seen here on Citysearch are for the most, a joke. Go to your physician!
