Horrible tacos

Yes, the tacos here are like authentic street tacos. However, the meat in them was terrible! The chicken was dry and the steak was both fatty and dry at the same time. Terrible. You can get tacos 100 times better for the same price down the street at Pineda Tacos, and probably anywhere in the Midtown Global Market. When you are at Mercado Central skip Taqueria La Hacienda, find La Loma cafeteria and have a tamale instead.

best mexican tacos outside of mexico

these tacos are exactly like those found in the roadside stands in mexico-amazing! the quesadillas are also very good here. the horchata is authentic and it is served ice cold. what a great taco place! i spent some time studying in mexico and whenever i feel like returning there, i head to taqueria la hacienda.

Best real tacos in town

If you like real Mexican-style tacos, this is the best source I've found in Minnesota. I'm talking about the kind you'd get from a taco stand in southern California: just meat, onions, cilantro, and maybe a little salsa on a pair of soft corn tortillas, served with a wedge of lime, for about $1.50 each. Both the carne asada and the pollo asado are delicious.
