Awesome music - TERRIBLE table service
by mplsluv740
This place has a really cool vibe with their decor and music but beware when you go that they have absolutely awful table service!! We were there on Sat night (4/25) and we sat at a table when we got there. We were not sure if they even had table service but after we sat a bit we noticed a waitress waiting on other tables around us. We waited for a while but were getting thirsty so my boyfriend finally went and ordered us drinks at the bar. After sipping on our drinks, we noticed the waitress bringing people food and we were kinda hungry so we thought we would order some too. After again being ignored by the waitress, my boyfriend went up to the bar to ask if we could see a menu and order food. The bartender gave him a menu and told him that he could place an order with her. He did that and got a couple more drinks and came back to the table. After 45 min and no food, my boyfriend went back up to the bar to ask about his food and apparently it was sitting behind the bar for awhile! Of course it was cold but since he had to pay for it upon ordering it, he figured he might as well bring it back to the table. Then, since our table was full of empty glasses, bottles, and cold food, he had to bring up the dirty dishes to the bar as well to clear some space on our table. We were baffled by all of this as the waitress was clearly waiting on all of the tables around us! This was the worst service at a bar ever! Maybe you have to know a secret "kitty club" handshake to get any sort of service. On the positive side, my boyfriend got some exercise walking back and forth from our table to the bar about 10 times plus got to practice waiting tables. The only reason why we didn't leave right away - they had really cool music. Some dude that was like a one-man show. Looped some cool samples and beats on his computer while playing bass.
- Pros: music, sofas, comfy chairs
- Cons: parking,service
Kitty Cat Klub is PURRRRfect!

I love sitting inside this place. It is so eclectic and artsy. I have been coming here for all my friends birthdays for years now. It's classy without being snotty. You can dress up to come here or be casual if you want to. There is usually live music, you can order food from the upstairs parlor and they have an awesome lighted patio with tables for smoking or chillin' outside. I also love to hang in dinkytown at a bar with no annoying, snotty college kids. The crowd here is a bit older than the "freshly 21 year-old" bar hoppers, so an older, more-mature patron can enjoy a fun atmosphere at a large venue.
- Cons: Parking and sometimes an unneccisary cover charge
A Dinkytown favorite bringing coffee by day, drinks and live music by night.

In Short
Students and neighborhood locals come to this cozy bar for music, food and conversation. The seven cozy rooms are decorated with colorful estate-sale lunacy. Fridays are DJ nights; Saturdays showcase live rock bands. A basement music space, "The Cavern," offers additional opportunities to rock. Food is a community affair: Order a hamburger from Annie's, the restaurant upstairs that runs the Klub, and they'll run it down.
Great place to meet friends for coffee or drinks

Love the decor! Great place to meet friends to chat. Sometimes live music can be a little loud if you are trying to have a conversation. Great service...cozy

What a fun place! The atmostphere is exceptional. Lots of funky furniture and decorations make it a definitely chill place. Great for a quite place on a date. You can sit on a couch and have a drink (which are very well made). The music follows the atmostphere and I have been back many times!
- Pros: decor, atmostphere, drinks
- Cons: parking, service

Funky different rooms, great variety of people and the cocktails are usually quite tasty. If you go, you must check out the bathrooms!!

definitely a swank place that is sectioned off in to basically different living rooms. a good area of the bar is no-smoking. great for studying or chatting before the evening crowd rolls in, and excellent during the evening. the people are friendly and always good for conversation.
- Pros: not overly crowded, excellent staff, excellent people
- Cons: little parking
