One of a kind experience

by Naughty Nick

I went here last year with a party of 8. The wait wasn't too long and the staff was nice throughout the visit. Seating was limited since we were there in the winter and the patio was not open. They have a great selection of drinks. A couple of the girls in our party ordered the big volcano (I think that was the name) drink topped off with a flame burning in the middle. Beer was enough for me. Pizza was great, much better than your average chain pizza variety. Overall dinner was a great experience and I loved the ambiance of this place.

  • Pros: Pizza, Cocktails
  • Cons: Space (In the winter)

It's Interesting

by Ricco

I find it interesting that the people that gave Psycho Suzi's only one star have only written one review. That tells me that the review is not legit and it is more or less a personal vendetta kinda thing. Just sayin'. Thanks.

  • Pros: Best employees anyone could ask for
  • Cons: disgruntled past employees

Psycho Suzis's is definitely PSYCHO

by orangepopsicle76

I went here for a birthday party last year and I have to say that while we had a good time, if we hadn't had such a big crowd to distract us, we would have probably been very grumpy customers. The food and drinks are INCREDIBLY overpriced. And don't expect the servers to be anywhere near you when you need them. We ordered food (fries and mozzarella sticks) and didn't get it until an hour and a half later! Seriously, how could it take that long for something fried? Whenever we needed a drink, it was no use flagging down a server because chances were, they would never get back to you. I bet we had something like three different servers that night because no one could keep track of who was taking care of who. The place was so packed...you could barely walk to the bar to get your own drink because you couldn't find a server! I will say though that the atmosphere is very cool and unique and that the food is pretty good. I gave it two stars because I have only been there once and can't really judge but, I have heard many complaints from friends and from my own experience, I am in no hurry to go back.

  • Pros: atmosphere, appetizers and pizza
  • Cons: prices for drinks and food, service

Great pizza but overpriced, crowded and loud

by Maiero

This place has some great pizza but I only wish there wasn't so much attitude. Yeah, you have a tattoo, that's quite the accomplishment, waitress lady/ bartender/ hostess. Why do all these people who listen to crappy music insist upon working in customer service?

Anyway, this place gets really loud and, despite the prices, and it will provide a quasi-favorable experience in dining.

  • Pros: Pizza!
  • Cons: Staff, crowd and setting

******DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY**************

by yelperskelper

No offense you guys but I really can't give this place a good review. This place is insane. I say this because according to Einstein, insanity is doing the same thing over and expecting a different result, which is the case with Psycho Suzi's. I have watched this place slowly decline over the last few years with poor management and service, over priced drinks and food that you have waited too long for that is cold and burnt. I keep going back thinking that things will be different but they are not. Sure the patio is nice and the drinks are cool but very over priced and it is not worth the wait. You go there thinking wow, this place is packed it must be a really good place. But I hate to inform you, it is not. The reason there is the wait is because the place is small not because it's popular. I have confirmed more complaints about this place than I have the compliments. Numerous times we have waited only to have the dim-witted, anorexic Manager give our table to someone else who didn't wait as long. They don't put you on a list or anything and unless you get there at 2:00 in the afternoon the place is too small and there will be a wait. They have exceeded their capacity to really be a worthwhile establishment to venture to, even for the locals. There is a reason this place used to be a successful drive-THRU, location, location, location. Stay, have a nostalgic overpriced tiki drink and leave. Or wait, and stand there with a heavy ceramic drink in your hand with no-where to set it down and nothing to do but be a vulture and wait while you get crammed and shoved around. Once you get a table, the wait staff is trying to rush you out immediately after you’ve eaten, if you can wait that long for food. The more than a handful of times we have gone there someone always orders their nostalgic pizza but every time the crust is always burnt. Either that or they are pushing you to pay your tab so it’s hard to relax and enjoy drinks and conversation with your friends even on the patio, even if you are not ordering food. Who can relax when you have vultures eyeing your every move for a table? Try and have a conversation outside on the patio in the summer when there is a carwash next door with bass blaring so loud it’s causing ripples in your drink. Don’t get me wrong I like me some bass but this place has a creepy vibe. My friends and I don’t like the inside part because once so many people get there, it really starts to smell, bad. The bathrooms are horrible, keep your silly chalk. If you really have something to say, use a sharpie. Parking is even worse and there are always cops parked down the side streets of Marshall just waiting for you to leave Suzi’s. Just not worth the venture off the beaten path, not even for a tacky theme bar. Guess I expect more from a tiki bar in Minneapolis. They were featured on the food network but you know what, so was my Grandmother’s Rhubarb Jam and I am not kidding about that. Tried to love ya Suzi, many times, but your just too Psycho for us. You have made the list of our Ex’s and we will not be going back.

  • Pros: None that I can see
  • Cons: Too many to list

Wow this place is psycho!

by cambellaw

Wow this place is psycho! Very chaotic, noisy an unprofessionally managed. Staff running all over, dirty tables, totally unorganized. It was like a free for all. Waited forever for a table and then again for our food. The server acted like we were a total inconvenience. When it finally arrived it was cold and not our complete order. I spoke to a manager to see I it was always this crazy (thinking a different day might be better) and I was told “yes it is, crazy is good”. I really thought this was going to be a fun spot, but it just simply does not have a good vibe.

  • Pros: Lots of hype
  • Cons: Don't Believe the hype

Don’t waste you time or money!!

Don’t waste you time or money!!

We had a group of 11 that say at an outside table. When the server arrived we asked to have the table split in two checks. She replied smugly “we don’t do that” end of conversation.

Are server was cold and slow. The people brining out the food just dumped it on the table and walked away. We received another tables food at one point and had to almost force the guy to take it away? When the check arrived we found out why only one check. 18 % gratuity tacked on, every one at the table laughed and said she wasn’t worth 8 %. We put down our 78.00 dollars and part of the group left. The servers cleared the table and we sat there and talked for 15 minutes. We were getting up to leave and our snobby server says” are you putting this on a card” we said we all paid in cash and the person clearing the table took the money. She stomped away and returned to say no one had the money and she needed the check paid. I asked her to check again. The server and the manager looked in one garbage can and I went to the bathroom. When I returned my wife was signing a credit card slip. When I was gone the force her to pay again. I asked for the manager and he treated me like a criminal. He said he checked the garbage can and no money, he asked his staff and no money. He than stated that his staff would never steal from him and that we did not pay the check in cash. I asked him to call the police, he refused. We argued for a few minutes and my wife asked me to drop it and we left. I called the manager 20 minutes latter to see if they found the money and he laughed at me and said no and they were now to busy to look. I went ballistic on the phone and the manager still proceeded to laugh at me and the situation. I than gave him 48 hours to call me back to apologies and demanded he credit card. He refused to credit our card. I will chuck this up a bad day with a server and a manager who think there better than the customer.

And by the way two years a go the food was great, now its over priced over breaded. Pizza was burned and the server was MIA at that point. And all in our group agreed the food was bad. OUCH!!

Fun, but a few slight flaws..

by annieoak3

Pizza was tasty, but cold! We didn't have a problem with the service, possibly because we ordered a pitcher of beer, which was over-priced at $15, but did occupy us while we waited for the pizza. However, the server returned just $5 change on a total tab of $34.60 -- when did it become acceptable to round up to the next dollar? The atmosphere was fun, but probably suited more to a crowd a bit younger than we are.

  • Pros: parking, ambience, friendliness
  • Cons: taste, price, math
