Best personal injury law firm in Twin Cities

Doug and his team are top notch. They are very hard-working and meticulous with getting the best results for the case.

I felt like I was in good hands through the entire process. At first I was a bit leary, since I had a previous experience with a law firm that drew out my case for over eight years. I did not want to go through that again. Doug and his staff resolved my case in under two years, which was quicker than I thought possible. I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

The only lawyer that has ever gave me his best effort

I feel very lucky to have Mr. Schmidt working for me.

He took my case when my first lawyer would not or could not fight his way out of a paper bag. MY case was very involved but Mr. Schmidt made look so easy. His organizational and paper work skills are second to none. He commands and directs in a courtroom with the finesse of a prize fighter. And delivers the knock out when you can not see it coming.

Great law firm

The Schmidt Law Firm has more than met my expectations. Doug Schmidt is an honest, highly motivated, caring and competent lawyer and is very aggressive in his representation. His staff is the best that I have come across. The whole office is like family and I would highly recommend this office to anyone. My husband had another law firm for his accident and there was no compassion.

Top Injury Lawyer

I am a chiropractor who was seriously injured in a car accident. My case was with another lawyer for many years, without much happening. When Doug Schmidt took over the case, things happened-and for the good. He produced a great liability settlement. He took my No Fault case to arbitration hearing and got a marvelous result. When they paid the amount of the award, but refused to pay interest as required by law, he took them to District Court and got an order from the Judge making them pay the interest, too.

Doug Schmidt is an absolute bulldog who will fight for every last penny. I couldn't recommend anyone more highly. I only wish that I had known about him when I was still practicing. I would have recommended him to every single patient of mine-Absolutely without reservation.

This is who you NEED!

I was referred to the Schmidt Law Firm by a medical provider after sharing the extreme difficulty I was having with the attorney I had hired. The first attorney I had hired never returned one phone call, transfered my case to another attorney within the firm without notifying me, did not respond to any messages or faxes that I sent, and his paralegal (who was supposed to be managing my case) did not even know I was on her caseload! The day I called Doug at Schmidt law firm he PERSONALLY got on the phone and talked to me. He and his legal assistant Colleen stayed late so that I could meet with them THAT DAY! We could not get daycare on such short notice, but that was not an issue. The entire staff (including Doug) at the firm were so nice and talked and played with our 4 children. Immediately Doug realized that there was a lot more to my case that I knew and that my previous attorney had seriously dropped the ball. Colleen called me almost every day to see how I was doing, get more information on my case, and update me on what was happening. Because of the serious nature of my injuries, they also stayed in contact with my husband so that nothing was missed. It was not odd at all to find them working in the office on a weekend trying to get us compensation since I had not been able to work since my accident. We recently received the first portion of my wage loss and Doug decided that he was not going to take the 1/3 he was entitled to (and yes, I firmly believe they deserved it for all the hard work they did) but said that we needed the money so bad that he was only going to take half of the 1/3. I could speak to Doug whenever I needed to and phone calls were always returned with an hour, if not faster. I just cannot say enough about the Schmidt Law firm. If you are looking for someone who really wants to help you and not treat you like another file on their desk, plus has the tenacity to get you what you deserve, this is the only choice you should make!!!

The intellect and tenacity of this admirable law firm brought about a very satisfactory settlement of this matter. The defense fielded a team that was rated the very best in its field, in the state, yet with perseverance and skill the schmidt law firm still prevailed. Terrific Legal Team!

I am not a litigious person and was nervous about hiring a lawyer after my auto accident. I, however, had no medical insurance prior to the accident and, although another driver was at fault, I wanted to make sure I was covered. I retained the services of Schmidt Law Firm upon hearing a glowing endorsement from a family member. I was not disappointed. Doug and Vanessa are terrific. I was told that auto settlements could take anywhere from 1-2 years to settle. Doug settled my case within MONTHS.

Due to the extent of my injuries, I had medical bills from seven different medical providers with the total exceeding $45,000 (My auto policy only covered $20,000 for medical). Vanessa personally called every medical billing office involved and was able to negotiate several of my bills down (one bill for over $10,000 was cut in ?), while Doug was able to acquire money for me from multiple sources, I didn?t even know existed.

Despite the fact that Schmidt Law Firm has already received its portions of the settlement checks, Doug and Vanessa have still been looking out for my family?s best interests. Vanessa has continued to help me with my current medical insurance provider and everyone at the firm has been extremely compassionate. Doug was able to get me money to help offset the cost for myself and others that have helped around the house and helped care for my young daughter post-accident; Vanessa continues to reapply for these checks on a monthly basis although Schmidt Law Firm is NOT taking a percentage of this money. Were it not for Doug and Vanessa, rather than having new money in my savings account, I?d be well over $30,000 in debt, stressed, and scared. Needless to say, I would HIGHLY recommend Schmidl Law Firm.

Hardworking, Honest, BEST ATTORNEY EVER

I was referred to Doug from a close friend in the family and I tell you what it was a great referrel. I was in two car accidents, so Doug had twice as much work to do for me, but he took it on like it was no problem. The Day I met Doug was the best day of my life. He welcomed me into his office and treated me with the respect that my previous attorney did not, I fired him. He was shocked to see how little work my previous attorney had done on my case, which also ment more work for him to do. Doug is a very easy going kinda guy, really made you and your other family members comfortable around him. Doug and his crew put in a lot of hours and really looked out for YOUR best interest. I was able to contact him or his office at anytime, and they kept me up to date with any new things that would come up about my cases. I truely felt they really understood me and my condition and situations I was going through. He would prepare me for what to expect from the other attorney's. He goes for things that some of the attorney's out there don't even know that you could get it. He went for these case to win for the CLIENT not for HIMSELF. NOT ONE CASE THAT WE WENT THROUGH DID WE LOOSE!! WE WON EVERY CASE, and lets just say it was more than 4 cases I had to go through! Now that is what I call an OUTSTANDING; HARDWORKING ATTORNEY and I would reccomend anyone who has a personal injury THIS MAN IS FOR YOU!!

Fantastic Settlement

I got into a really bad car accident and had no clue what to do. I ended up finding Schmidt Law Firm on the web and am glad I did.

The attorney and staff were friendly and respectful. I never had a problem getting a hold of the attorney or my paralegal. My various legal questions were answered promptly and in great detail. The Firm kept me involved with the case and made sure to watch out for my best interest.

When it came time for a settlement I was really quite pleased by the result. I fair compensation for the current injuries and lost income as well as for the future complications which are expected. What was even better was that the staff paid all my outstanding medical bills, meaning I was free to walk away with clean hands and a substantially improved back/neck.

Really good stuff at this law firm, I recommend it to anyone looking for personal injury legal help.
