I hear the weekends are pretty dead, so head there Thursday if you like a good crowd and very, very inexpensive cover (FREE) and drinks ($1 wells). Love the hip-hop beats, and should I mention again, super cheap drinks? If you don't like a mixed crowd (all race/ethnicity), then go somewhere else, but if you don't care and just wanna have a good time, Escape is the place for Thursday nights.
Pros: Drinks
Cons: Younger crowd 18-25

We were not impressed! Staff was rude and not helpful in any way! We came to have fun and spend some money, but by the service we received I don't think they wanted us there or our money. Bathrooms were filthy, music was boring and the dance floor was sticky with broken glass in every area. Most "upscale" nightclubs that I've been to don't allow people on the dance floor with drinks. Never will visit again!!!
Pros: none
Cons: staff, dirty

I always enjoyed going to Escape, but when I tried to reserve a VIP section I ran into problems over and over again. I was told a different price and policy each time I called. I was offered a deal after I explained my situation to the management. The VIP section in the bar is the only place one can really function on a Friday night without feeling like they don't have room to breathe. But, the music is great.
Pros: Atmosphere, music
Cons: service, prices, crowded

my birthday was reserved here.............I had the worse experience w/the managerment here that night that I almosted started to cry. First of all, when I arrived my vip section was not set up until 1hr later. Then my cake didnt even have my name on it. I had to ask for my own b-day shot out from the DJ. I had the bouncers letting in anyone in my vip section that tried to start trouble w/me because i had asked them to leave my space. I had the waitress that couldnt think for her self. this was the worse birthday and I am/was so disappointed with this place....
Pros: nothing
Cons: expensive, boring, management

While visiting Minneapolis this establishment was recommended by a DJ friend. The environment was great but smaller than we expected. Some of the specials advertised on their web page were not offered the night we visited. However, the cover was less than we expected. The bartenders and waitresses were fabulous, very friendly and helpful. However, what proved to be the biggest dissapointment was the music. The first hour was a good mix but around 11pm the DJ started a set of almost pure rap or rap based tunes which continued uninterrupted. Many tunes were undanceable much to the annoyance of my date. By 1230am we could no longer endure the monolithic rap tunes and had to escape. It would have been tolerable if there had been some variety, but the musical transitions for which we were waiting never happened.
Pros: Great environment, Friendly staff, Good drinks
Cons: Crowded, Weak music

I don't like being a snob but I paid the steep cover to get in and hated the clientele. Space was alright but...I felt like I had left Minneapolis and was in Asia somewhere. Went into VIP which was definitely better. Much better people and a great female bartender. My plastic was at home. Had my visa checkcard; which they don't take. Alright time if you want to spend One Night in Bangkok.

I really liked it. Beautiful people, beautiful bar, beautiful servers. The dancers on the glass platforms really gave it the added glam most places are lacking these days. I felt safe and comfortable even though it was extremely busy. A bottle of water (small) cost $4.00. I didn't even want to ask how much a cocktail cost! Other than that it was a really great time!
Pros: Beautiful, Comfortable seating, Big dancefloor
Cons: , Crowded

Stopped by on a lark and discovered that Timo Maas was DJing. Read elsewhere that Miguel Migs has DJ'd. These are two of the top ten DJs on the planet, so if this is a trend, it's very positive. A woman grabbed me to dance, so that was nice. Better dance floor than the Lounge; comparable clientele. Still pumping with a good mix of people from it's newness; we'll see how it goes if the area's attitudinally impaired look-gooders take over.

If you want to a place that you never know who might be there from your best friend to a celeb, this is your place. Ultra class and fine treatment. VIP to casual is accepted. Great girls night out!
Pros: Skyway walk from ramp, VIP rooms, Strong drinks
Cons: Cover

As being a person who is pretty familiar with the Latin Dance night venues, I was initially excited about a new club offering a Latin Dance night. I was sorely disappointed. The band was probably of the poorest quality I have yet to see in the Twin Cities, the atmosphere was bland, and the place was filled with dance class students who only danced with each other. There was not much in the way of seating or even small tables to set your drink on. They did have half of the place closed off, I suppose, to make it seem like it was crowded. The drinks were very overpriced. I truly felt I wasted my time and a lot of money and got nothing in return.
Pros: Location-downtown
Cons: Expensive, Bland, Very little seating
