Great service and great food.. With a reservation, we brought 20 relatives to Tanners to celebrate a couple of birthdays. They set us up in an area all our own with several tables pushed together. It was a buffet. Great food and great service. We weren't the only family doing something similar on the same day. We will definitely being doing this again. It's nice to have a place like this so close.

Won't go back - too bad. First time there - had these heavenly Rachel. Second time there, I had a Rachel - one side of toast was BLACK (that side down) - I had eaten 1/2 of it because I didn't want to complain so they gave me a free dessert - TRIP three - Rachel again ... Turkey smelled 'odd' but ate it anyways - ended up with stomach cramps and throwing up -- from the turkey -- don't know but won't take the chance again. Too bad .. that first visit was wonderful.

Surprising they are still open!. What a joke of a business! I have been in the restaurant industry for years and normally give owners and staff a lot of slack because it is such a stressful fast paced industry but I have had enough. The food is just awful and inconsistent. I had one good meal there a year ago and have returned three time for the same thing and its either dry and overcooked or completely different then what it says on the menu. I do not blame the kitchen staff I blame the owners. Obviously it is poorly run. When I asked to speak to the manager I was informed that it was the owner Lisa and the server left to get her. She did not come to the table and in fact I could tell she was avoiding being near us!

We were in there this weekend for the tent party and the obviously underage girls working outside serving beer, cocktails and shots where clearly drunk. One girl working the beer tub was so drunk she was falling down! She fell down repeatedly until another employee came to get her. Then I watched the same Lisa from last time work in her place and again she gave horrible customer service.

Overall I have never been so disappointed or disgusted by how a business in customer service is run. Do NOT waste your time or money here. You will be disappointed!

Tanners needs to refocus their direction. It would seem obvious that an establishment that wants a good reputation would want to focus on great service such as treating customers with respect and providing good food. This establishment does a very poor job on both. I'm 32 yr old gentleman who has been coming to tanners for the last 2 years because its close. This establishment by far has the most rude and classless set of female bartenders I have ever seen and this seems to be a continued trend going on and on and on. I've heard so many complaints in my communtiy about this bad service I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking this. All we ask is for at least one good female bartender there and not the immature, unprofessionalism that continues. When this place can get its focus back and puts the customers first perhaps myself and others will come back some day.

Also the tall blonde working evenings at the bar will serve you if you are on steroids and have tattoos. A 32 yr old guy from Anoka here who reviews restaurants in the area.

Tanner's - would not recommend. A group of 8 of us ate at Tanner's. Three people had steaks - dry, not tasty and definitely not cooked as ordered. The all you can eat shrimp is not worth ordering especially at the price. The baked potato tasted like it was baked in the morning and kept hot all day and then it was served. The only meal that is worth mentioning was the penne pasta and that was okay. The waitress was timely but does not make up for poor food.

Waste of money Avoid. This is my last time going to Tanners Station. I dont understand how this restaurant can get good reviews at all. I have frequented a multitude of times and each time I am left feeling cheated and hungry. Since my last experience I had a filet mignon that was overcooked and tough I decided to order a hamburger. I didnt think one could mess up on a burger but it was a greasy mess. The meat was not flavorful at all and I am suspicous about the rodeo burger using its BBQ sauce to cover up the fact that it is tasteless. It took the waitress 20 minutes to take my order and bring me a beverage. It then took another 45 minutes for me to get my lunch. The waitress kept coming back in 10 to 15 minute increments to assure me it was only going to be another minute. Finally it comes and much to my disappointment as it wasnt worth the wait. I keep telling myself i will never go back to such a place. I really would suggest others find a better place to eat as well. There are choices.

Great place to avoid. The restaurant overall lacks in consistancy with food and service. Its really a shame since it has potential to be a really nice place.

excellent customer service, great food. We were just in there this last weekend. Had a large party, approx. 45 ranging in age from 7-45. We called in about 3 hours in advance. Having worked in the restaurant industry to put myself through college, I knew that you can't just walk in with a large party during the lunch hour and expect to be seated right away. We gave ourselves plenty of time to have such a large party order and have the food made. The great thing about this place is that they make the food to order. It's not a quickie drive thru service like you'd expect at Burger King.

The food came out perfectly. The gals who were working really seemed to know how to handle a large party. We just let them do their job and we did ours, handling our kids. The food was absolutely delicious, and their service was above and beyond what we could have expected. We really did appreciate how accomodating they were with such a large crowd. I would definately recommend Tanner's again, but if you have a large party like ours was, do call ahead with reservations, it is a sit down restaurant.

LONG waits for everyTHING!!!. We had a group of 30 in Andover for a function last Saturday. 4 went over to Tanner's at 12:15 to inform them of our large party. Hostess was aloof & honestly didn't appear too bright-she stacked menus for 15 mns while tables were set up but then didn't seat the 4, kept them standing. 2 other tables in dining room!!

The rest of our group arrived & were seated after ANOTHER 20 mns?? Got 2 separate tables, 2 waitresses. They took orders, we waited 20+mns for apps, soups, etc to arrive & 20-25 more for lunches to BEGIN arriving. Delivery of food =CHAOS & confusion-not to mention a VERY LONG wait for 2/3 of the party. 3-4 items came at a time with 10+ mns in between. Some never got their food, some got wrong food but kept it as it was SO confusing. Waitresses never told us there was only 1 cook day, didn't acknowledge or apologize for anything-and there was NO sense of urgency in the slightest sense regarding anything. This was an opportunity for the restaurant and servers to make $$ they must typically not be prepared for at a Sat. lunch rush-which should have been a good thing. A large party with very few other patrons is manageable in a restaurant, not here.

Talked to the owner days later-she was silent..!?! No people or communication skills whatsoever! Said she'd talk to the waitresses. THIS was AS frustrating as the dining experience & insulting! Classic 'How NOT to respond to a customer concern!" I hope alot of people read this!

The busboy shuffled around. 2 more tables came in during the entire 2 hours we were there- this speaks volumes of the NON-popularity of the restaurant! And servers were NOT maxed out in efforts to other guests. This is the type of party where you get "assistance" from others. The manager literally steered clear of us, didn't come & check to see how things were, apologize or ANYTHING! Nobody assisted with this DINING DISASTER! At ANY restaurant a Mgr would have checked on a large party! Other reviews have the same complaints.

All You Can Eat Crab Legs!. While I wouldn't suggest going out of your way to find Tanners, if you are in the area, you might think of stopping in. They have all you can eat crab legs on Wednesdays, always steamed to perfection (and I consider myself a bit of a crab leg snob). I live right around the corner from Tanners, but it's generally only a place I stop for crab legs or a drink. I've tried the other food and it's nothing to brag about. The service is fine, again, nothing to rush in for. They do have a pretty hip bar, generally pretty packed- they offer pull tabs as well as several TVs to catch the local team on. All in all, if you are near Tanners, you might stop in... but don't go out of your way to find it.
