The other day, I walked into Global Village, and the smell of incense and the beautiful scarves and artifacts on the walls immediately made me feel as if I had stepped out of the United States and into an exotic country. Or, more like a mix of exotic countries. I was greeted very warmly by the two girls working; they were very attentive, yet not over-bearing. They took my bag, which surprised me at first but then I realized that it is for safety, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one who had their bag checked in. Overall, I would give this an A. I didn't drive there, so I don't know about the parking situation; I would recommend parking a couple of blocks away, where there is more parking available, and simply walking down the block that Global Village is on - there are many great places that I'd never even heard of, and it was fun to discover.

I simply love this store! The clothing, the candles, drums, and nic nacs are simply beautiful and useful. I highly recommend this store if you like things from different countrys, and flowing lovely clothes. The prices can be high, but then again can be affordable. The staff however, aren't that friendly and have some touch of perhaps racism? Nevertheless, that was one time, but another worker was there, and she seemed to be nicer.
Pros: Lovely clothes, Good prices, Fun stuff
Cons: Workers aren't good, Parkings not so good

Global Village has a great variety of world-culture-themed items ranging from clothes to home decor to small gifts. Imports from India, Africa, and Asia its not hard to find a unique and meaningful gift here. Drums, throws, clothing, jewelry, oils, and a great supply of all sorts of inscence items. Not all staff smile but hey that's typical these days.
Pros: Unique gifts, essential oils, decent prices
Cons: no off street parking
