RUDE! MADE ME CRY! FAKE! AND VERY VERY GREEDY! WORST SALON EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!

I needed to get just front extentions done because of a bad hair cut, I just moved to Minnesota not too long ago and called 3 times to tell them I was running late and they said this was ok because I even offered to re-schedule, but they said this was ok with them and to just come.

After realizing that I was in the downtown hennepin instead of the uptown hennepin I finally made it to the salon. When I got there Zilya was VERY MAD that I was late and told me how much I didn't appreciate her time and that she will be charging me a $50 late fee! Then because I didn't want to pay her another $30 for a consultation on a prior day she told me that I would be needing more hair extentions than first thought for frontal bangs part only and also that I need a new highlight and color or else *she couldn't let me walk out of the salon looking like that* So to make it cheaper I had a hair color by her assistant Meg who was super sweet- but by this time I was already crying from all of the charges and rude snobby comments from Zilya. What was supposed to be just frontal extentions ended up being a color, highlight ( which had to be re-done because the missed a big chunk in the front) $50 late fee and 6 hours later in that salon! I had already so much emotional stress from this horrible hair cut that I made this appointment and just wanted to get it over with and couldn't wait to re-schedule and find someone else that I just did it. I also at this time got a parking ticket because when I asked one of the assistants to pay the parking meter and put in $2.00 worth she only put in $1.00 and I got a ticket on top of this.

I will never go back there and STRONGLY suggest that all other people read what people say on here and save yourself the time, stress, and money. Zilya wanted to charge me for every small little thing and I ended up having to correct the cut they gave me with my extentions myself. DO NOT GO HERE! YOU WILL BE SUCKED DRY OF EVERY PENNY!

NOT WORTH EVEN 1 STAR!

• Pros: Meg was nice, but new there and not tainted yet
• Cons: Parking ticket! Late fee! Consultation fee! RUDE & FAKE people there! The list goes on and on! GREEDY!

Great Haircut & color

My stylist (Jamie) was very friendly and listened to what I wanted, and made good suggestions in deciding how to cut, style, and color my hair. I love how it turned out!! I also liked the products they used in my hair. I'll definitely be back.

I went to this salon thinking i would get the best of the best...not so much! save your money. the one benefit is they use wella color.

Excellent for Hair Extensions!

I had Zilya and her staff put hair extensions in last week. I have baby fine hair that seemed to stop growing at my shoulders. Zilya and her staff did an awesome job of first correcting my hair coloring and then adding extensions two days later. The extensions and hair cut took about 3 hours. I have received tons of compliments on them from friends and co-workers. Everyone says they blend in amazingly and that you can't even tell it's not my real hair. I would completely recommend Zilya for hair extensions if you are looking for someone experienced that knows what they are doing. As a side note, they aren't cheap (standard rates for a high end, experienced stylist), but you get what you pay for and this was well worth it!! She warned me that I might become addicted to them and I already am.

Best Salon in Minneapolis

My sister and I have tried dozens of salons in the twin cities, and Zilya's is by far the best. Zilya did my bridal hair and makeup, and she did an incredible job. She's a little pricey--but you get what you pay for. After getting a cut and color there, I constantly get compliments. I've also given their gift certificates as a great gift. They're the best!

This was my first time at Zilya's Salon and spa. And I would say they did a great job on my hair. The staff are very friendly. My dad came with me and he thought they were on top of their game. Zilya did my hair and

she answered all of his questions. The price I paid was worth it. I feel so much better about me!!! I do plan on going back for the up keep of my hair. So, if you need a lift in your spirit and about the way you feel. I say go.

Zilya is the BEST!

Zilya is the best STYLIST ever!! Full Stop.!!! I don't live in MPLS anymore, but I miss her more than I miss some of my friends.. :) I have a horrible hair that I am rarely satisfied with!! But Zilya did the best job ever. She is worth every penny. Salon is great, service excellent.. but that is more or less the same at every prestigious salon don't you think? Coffee, water, wine.... The bottom line is: Am I happy with the service, do I like my hair?? And I always did!!! She should tour the country and do the hair for her customers that had to move away. .:) I

Relaxing Day

I had a wonderful day at Zilya's. I had a massage, facial, mani and pedi. The only complaint that I have is I think the top coat they used on my nails was too thick and my nails where smuged with in minutes of leaving (after having them check to see if they were dry enough before leaving). But I did call them on it and they said they would repolish them for me! Thank you for a relaxing day!

Best hair stylist that ever touched my hair!!!

I have a very thick and curly long hair that is unmanageable. I have never been fully satisfied with the haircuts and/or hairstyles from Aveda and other salons because their haircuts would look ugly after the firs shower (which I warned them about, and asked to consider the fact as we were preplanning the haircut).

Zilya did my and my future (@ that time) husband?s hair for our wedding. WE were extremely satisfied! More than that, we STAYED satisfied with the styles and the color for months till it was time to refresh them? Zilya is our exclusive hairstylist now. We highly recommend her to all our friends.

I LOVE this place it has an upscale atmosphere but it is not pretentious. Everyone who works here is super nice and friendly. I?ve gotten the best haircuts ever at this salon for under $40. I highly recommend this place to anyone who feels the need to be in an inviting environment for a bit of beauty and friendship! They treat you like you?ve been friends forever ? not just a customer.

The stylists at Zilya's are great! They politely and honestly provided feedback on my current hairstyle and offered ways to improve my style and color based on my personal face shape and skin tone. I love that my experience was tailored to MY physcial features and that the stylists at Zilya's had the experience and skill to make it work. I took their advice and love my new cut and color. I would recommend Zilya's to everyone!
