High End Salon

I am new to Minneapolis, have short, white hair which badly needed a hair cut. Based upon prior reviews, I decided to try Benjamin. He listened, asked questions, and then made some great suggestions. He gave me a shampoo/head massage that felt so good. He really took his time--cutting my hair wet and then again after my hair dried. I was very pleased with the results and am looking forward to my next appointment which will just be a trim.

Unbelievably Unprofessional!

I tried Tres Jolie because I read these reviews. I just moved here from out of state so the reviews helped me make a decision.

My first experience was with Spencer and Matt. Spencer had an interesting approach in that he bad mouthed my current color adding that it needed to be corrected. Matt was forgettable. I wasn't impressed with the outcome and I couldn't jutisfy paying such a high price for mediocrity.

My second atttempt was with Spencer and Benjamin. Spencer was already running behind when I got there, so he and Benjamin were trying to figure out who should start first. After they wasted my time and theirs accomplishing nothing, they offered to talk to the owner. Spencer and Benjamin, left me to sit and wait.

Twenty minutes passed, while both Spencer and Benjamin assisted other clients, finally Bryce came to tell me what I was hoping I wouldn't hear: "You can't get your color done today." And as I asked what he suggested I do now that I've driven over an hour.. (in mid sentence) he just walked away.

I sat there in my gown, waiting to figure out whether or not I was still getting my hair cut ... and no one acknowledged me. At this point it had been there for over an hour.

Maybe they ignored me in hopes I would just storm out and leave, but instead I sat in limbo. After all, I still had an appointment with Benjamin. I finally had to ask Benjamin if he was still going to do my cut and he then walked over to Bryce. What happened next, caught me by surprise...

Bryce walked over to me and said "Get out! You need to leave, you are no longer welcome here." I'm gonna call the cops!" Standing there shocked at what I was hearing, he then proceeded to remove my gown and gave me no further explanation (I think it was safe to assume I wasn't getting my haircut either).

It goes without saying that I will NEVER return to Tres Jolie.

Moral of the Story: You should go to Moxie Salon a few blocks away... the cut and color I received today exceeded my expectations and far surpassed the abilities of anyone at Tres Jolie.

i go to Tres Jolie Salon almost year and That the salon the best!!!!!!!!!! i really recomend Bejamin Stylist he do so good job and really nice to customer and he always give nice advise !

Always a wonderful experience

Gina has cut my hair for years because her cuts consistently are fantastic. She has incredible talent, skill, and sensitivity to my lifestyle and individual needs. I always receive compliments on my cuts and refer other clients. I completely trust her with my hair, and she is a joy to be around!

Fantastic salon experience!

I recently moved to the Twin Cities, and chose Tres Jolie based on the excellent reviews here and the information found on the salon's fantastic website. I had a color consultation with Marlee, who I'll be back to see soon, and a cut with Bryce. He was absolutely fantastic! Not only did he take time to ask me lots of questions about my hair, how much I worked with it, etc., he also took great care looking at my hair and seeing how it was currently cut before he even touched his scissors. I have very fine hair and he knew exactly what to do to get the most from it. In addition to being a fantastic stylist, he is an incredibly nice person. He is kind and gregarious, and I was at my ease from the moment I got there. It was easily the most fun I'd had at a salon in ages. The salon is chic without being pretentious and is very easy to find (and has a parking lot!). The women at the front desk were pleasant and efficient, both when I called and when I visited. I highly recommend Tres Jolie!

Wonderful Salon!

This is just what any girl wants in a salon. Spencer and Don colored and cut my hair - as soon as I walked in, they were looking over my hair providing recommendations and discussing how to improve things. Too weighted on one side, color was a little harsh in the front, etc., etc...they know exactly what to tweak to make your hair a perfect fit for your face. I'm very happy with the results. My hair feels lighter and healthier and the color is great. A side from being hair experts, they were extremely friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be going back!

My fave salon of all time!

I moved to the Cities about two years ago from the NY Metro area and was worried about finding a high-quality salon. I was referred to Tres Jolie by a friend and have happily seen Mark for color and Benjamin for cut ever since. There is just something about the Tres Jolie atmosphere that makes it relaxing and homey, although it is a high-end salon, and I've always come out looking and feeling like a million bucks. I definitely recommend it to anyone!

Great Salon ..great hairstylist

I recently moved to Minneapolis and found this salon after reading the reviews online. I got my hair cut from Benjamin, and the service was fabulous. He is patient, listens to what I had to say and suggested a style that would suit my face, as well as how to recreate the style. I would definitely recommend this salon!

Great Experience, Best Stylist

This is such a wonderful salon. I chose this Salon after reading the reviews here, I was initially a little skeptical as to how it would turn up, but after my consultation with Benjamin I was absolutely relaxed. He has magic in his hands; he suggested a good hair style for me and also did a wonderful job. I am so happy with my new hair style. The best thing about Benjamin is just that he can create the style as in your mind and also give you tips to recreate the style. This salon is absolutely fabulous and I would visit them again for sure.
