User Reviews for World TAE Kwon DO Academy

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

I was so thoroughly impressed with Lees Tae Kwon Do Academy when my daughter first attended more than 15 years ago as was she; that we decided that her son and my grandson would feel the same way. She developed a tremendous feeling of self confidence and an endurance both physically and emotionally in addition to a level of respect for herself and others; that would otherwise never been achieved with such well balanced leadership as was received from the Academy's teachers and leaders. Therefore, at the young and impressionable age of 5 we decided to give Maurice the opportunity to benefit from these experiences as did she. I strongly support and recommend a similar opportunity for those of all ages; to develop a strong positive outloook and a strong physical experience.

Pros: experienced and knowledgeable teachers, accommodating teamwork, positive environment

My daughter has recently joined Lee's World Tae Kwon Do Academy after starting her training with another school for about a couple of years. My husband and son trained with Lee's in the past and we always missed the high quality of training. We are very satisfied with her progress and her excitement for training has returned.

Pros: Traditional Teaching, Consistancy, Quality Instruction

I was leery of martial arts when my daughter first expressed an interest, but her continued attraction won me over. We tried two other martial arts establishments and was about to give up when we heard about Lee’s World Taekwondo in St. Paul. From day one, both my daughter and I loved the supportive, friendly atmosphere modeled by the staff and fellow participants. We are both pleased and impressed by the strength, speed and flexibility she has gained in the three and a half years she has attended. But even more impressive, is the confidence and leadership skills my daughter now possesses. A big thank you to Mr. Amacher and Lee’s World Taekwondo.

Pros: Instruction, atmosphere, intensity, consistency

Cons: lack of off street parking

We have greatly enjoyed the last 2+ years of training. My 4 boys (ages 4 to 12) and I all train in the martial arts. It has been fun and challenging for all of us. I love the fact that we can get exercise, fitness, self-defense and do it as a family. The last thing I needed was another activity where it cuts into family time - this one ensures that we get some regular time even on a crazy week. It has been good to also have another authority figure for my boys that encourages discipline but they enjoy it at the same time.

Pros: fitness, fun family time,

Cons: parking is a bit limited

My son and I have been studying taekwondo together at Lee's World Taekwondo Academy in St. Paul for nearly seven years; we're both black belt students. It has been great for him -- he has become stronger, more confident and a true leader as well as a disciplined martial artist. My son and I treasure our experience training together. I love the art, the intensity of the workout and being part of a community that cares about each other. The physical space at is nothing fancy at our studio, but the instruction is first class!

Pros: Great instruction, wide range of classes, strong community, excellent fitness
