"The food and the service are so great!!! I went with a group of 5 people. We had everything family style & got to try a bit of everything. Their naan is fabulous! Everything was absolutely delicious! Loved the relaxed, non-rushed atmosphere.

Definitely going back!!"

Love India Cafe. This is definitely my favorite place to go for great, authentic Indian food. You know that you are in the right spot when the restaurant and filled with Indian people, eating Indian food. Great customer service too.

Great Food!. We came here for lunch one day last week and I was very impressed. The food was just delicious, and everything tasted so fresh. The menu is huge, it was very hard to decide what to order because everything looked and smelled so good. I think almost everyone we were with loved what they got and we all agreed we would definitely have to come back to the Indian Café.

India Cafe vs Kaboob's. I have to say I agree with what some of the other reviews mentioned about the new management.... they have things looking very nice down there. And there certainly has been a lot of great improvment since the new management has taken over. I love grabbing a bite to eat out there, with my friends and family. We're absolutely in love with it. They have a lot of varity in their menu, and the food is unbeleivably very authentic. We always use India Cafe for catering of any of our special ocassians, because everyone just can't stop themselves from getting more to eat, at our parties. Now with the new management in place, there seems to be alot of comparison and contrast between India Cafe, and Kaboob's ( a indian restraunat only a few stores down). Some people say that they can get the same food for even cheaper prices at Kaboob's...but the truth is that although their price may be slightly lower... the atmosphere, authentic taste, hygenic capabilities and their customer service is quite poor. About the hygenic capabilities...I know this because my friend is a health inspector that once went in to check Kaboob's. He was shocked to find so many faults they had in them...which customers are unaware of. India Cafe is truly better than Kaboob's. So for anyone that was wondering...between India Cafe and Kaboob's....India Cafe is definetly the winner.

Shocking management behaviour. I always loved the food at India Cafe and hence went very often to this place. I had ordered a particular dish couple of times because it was my favorite, but the last 2 times I ordered, they werent as good as the previous time. So this time, when I mentioned this to the lady at the counter, she was just not ready to accept the comment. I was not expecting her to owe up to the mistake or apologise to me or give me a free item. I was just expecting the lady to listen me out and tell me that she will look into it. But her attitude was not right and she was hell bent on proving me that I was lying. Shocked by this behaviour I said that if this is the way she behaves, then she would be losing out on a customer and she said that she is fine with it. In fact I tried to be as soft as possible so that other customers dont hear my comment, but her tone looked like she didnt care. I have heard her scream at the cooks but never knew the same behaviour would be shown to customers.

After this kind of behaviour, I have decided NEVER to go to that place since along with good food I expect some respect and professionalism from the management.

People of the same origin eat here.. Fresh ingredients and veteran recipes make India Cafe one of my favorite places to eat in Minneapolis. Get super savory chickens and chutneys with a kick of spice, along with many other Indian dishes. You'll love it.

Leme put it this way; the place is usually packed with Indian people. That means it's good.

Good cafe for Lunch and Dinner. It is too good place for everything!. The place is not very fancy, but you would get quality and hygenic food. It is my favorite restaurant during my visit to Minneapolis. They are too good in South Indian dishes (Different varities of Dosa).

I would definitely recommend this cafe if some one visiting Minneapolis.

Enjoy your trip there

Awesome Indian food!. This is an amazing indian restaurant which most people skip since it is not really fancy - but almost every dish here is authentic and tasty! We moved to Minneapolis a few months back and were looking for some good Indian food. This has been one of our favourite places to eat.

Especially reccomended - Masala dosa, onion utthapam, fish curry with "Kappa" and their goat curry.

Dont look for a fancy dining experience, but you get great food here - I'm from South India and love the food here. No doubt!!
