After reading the reviews for Sabai Body Temple, I checked out their website and ended up making an online appointment for the next day. I have received massages at many local places including Chiropractor's offices, other spas and salons and I have NEVER experienced such a knowledgeable practioner. My entire experience from entering the door until leaving was simply exceptional. Josh is the person I saw and I will most definitely return for massages and will also be going for other services they offer. Thank you Josh and Sabai Body Temple.

I hate to think of myself as a stereotypical guy, but when it comes to spa indulgences, I am categorically referred to as "infrequent." In fact, I put the freak, in infrequent, so when my partner kindly gifted me with an Asian Fusion service at Sabai, I was understandably freaked the f*ck out. Chub check, spot shaving aside, the thought of disrobing for a complete stranger on their turf was a touch...unsettling. However, I manned up and dropped trou. By the grace of Buddha, Jessika took my delicate psyche in her gentle hands and guided me to Nirvana. The moment I stepped through the door, I felt immediately at ease. Time seemed to stop altogether. The experience was beyond my greatest expectations (and fears). I am still baffled as to how Jessika could have possibly been an expert on the wants, needs, and limits of my body before she even met me. Filed under top three experiences of 2007, just in time for my New Year's resolution to make massage therapy a new ritual.

I've been trying to find a massage therapist that really feels right for some time now. I've also had massages in various cities when traveling - San Francisco, Vegas, etc. This is the best massage by far. Its extremely comfortable and low-key. Scheduling is very easy and not a problem. You are treated very well with zero attitude. The atmosphere is very nice - the lights, the music, everything relaxes you right from the moment you take off your shoes at the door. But best of all, the massage itself is excellent. They always ask about special needs and they are very effective in inducing amazing relaxation as well as a healing touch to sore or stiff points. They are very knowledgeable in asian methods that they incorporate into the message experience. The best testimony I can give is that since I have started going once every two to three weeks, I have not had a single headache from stress that I used to get regularly. In general, I experience a greater sense of well being also. I highly recommend the massages here.
Pros: Friendly service, expert massage skills, great environment
Cons: haven't experienced any

I love this place! The first time I had a massage from Josh I went home and told my husband it was the best massage I'd ever had. Now my husband sees him, too, and says his massages are the best (and we've both been to a few different massage therapists). They have a great new studio. It has great low lighting, deep rich colors, incense, feng-shui elements... the whole place just has a definite aura of peace, well-being, and relaxation right when you open the door. The staff there is really warm, welcoming, easy to talk to and treat you like you're special and they're happy you're there. They are actually really interested in wellness and seem eager to deliver a good experience. I take yoga there now, too, and I love it! It's a nice, small, intimate class and I always leave feeling centered, relaxed, and rejuvenated. I had the Raindrop Treatment (detoxifying with essential oils) one time and it cleared my infected sinuses as well as being fun, relaxing, and smelled really good. They also offer accupuncture, reflexology, Thai massage, and chiropractic.
Pros: Staff, Ambience, Location, Price, Variety of Services
Cons: None

I have discovered Sabai one and a half year ago and I became a happy regular eversince. I appreciate the relaxation haven it provides, the holistic approach to healing, the variety of services, and especially the individual attention I receive every time I go there. I love both the massages and the reflexology sessions. They helped me a lot to relax, energize, get over a cold, sleep better, or rejuvenate. No matter what my needs were at the moment I stepped into the massage room, they were eased at the end of the session. Everybody deserves to get spoiled from time to time so whenever you need to escape, Sabai Urban Oasis is the answer! GELIA

As my ritual of taking care of me, I try to go to Sabai twice a month. One of my declarations to self at turning a fabulous fourty was that I would take better care of my instrument. As a dancer that has been using my body almost daily for years on end now, it ometimes catches up pretty intensly. I wasn't a person who went to get bodywork on any regular basis in the past but now that I have found Sabai, I can't imagine not going regularly. Everything about Sabai Urban Oasis feels good to me. I walk in with stress and tension and float out feeling relaxed, refreshed, and back in control of things. Jessika and Josh are very knowledgeable and personable and offer a wide range of massage techniques and services. When you walk into the space you get a sense of calm and peace. I tell everyone I know to check them out. Roxane Wallace

I called these folks cold from the number on their front door, I just had a good feeling about it. I had myself in a pretty good stress-mess, and Jessika was able to very intuitively unlock a good number of the clench points in that pesky mid-scapular region that is a tresaure chest of stress for so many of us. Intuition is the key here - - she is very good at reading where energy blockage exists and gently moves through these points with an unobtrusive yet powerful force, tracing casue and effects I had no idea even existed. My only complaint is that I live in Oakland, California and can't get there twice a month as I would like. But when I visit mom for Christmas, I know what my present to me will be. Check 'em out!!
Pros: Good intuitive massage
Cons: I live in california

Great location, calming and friendly atmosphere without the pretension and snobbery of many massage and spas. I would recomend to anyone who wants an excellent massage at an affordable price in a convenient location. I only get a massage a few times a year, but will definately go back.
