One of the best!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Rivertown Inn this past Saturday night. We have stayed at several Stillwater inns in the past, and so far this is one of our favorites. We stayed in the Lord Byron Suite - it was beautiful, clean and meticulously appointed. We were especially impressed with the quality and comfort of the bed - it was heavenly! The double whirlpool was huge and filled quickly. The breakfast was outstanding - although it was very rich for the first meal of the day. But we loved it anyway. The staff was all friendly and professional (we did not meet the owners). All in all, I would highly recommend the Rivertown Inn.
- Pros: Luxurious rooms, gourmet breakfast, complimentary wine & cheese "happy hour"
- Cons: a bit expensive
A stately Victorian mansion with lovely valley views.

In Short
This grand three-story mansion was built by lumber baron John O'Brien in 1882. It's perched high upon historic Chestnut Hill, overlooking picturesque Stillwater and the St. Croix River Valley. The inn offers a glimpse of the grand style of the Victorian era: gasolier light fixtures, hand-woven Oriental rugs, a mahogany grand piano and gothic European furnishings. Each of the nine guest rooms and suites is equally extravagant, with a double whirlpool, fireplace and private bath.

This B&B really makes it look easy. The house is beautiful...especially now in spring. The grounds were immaculate. I was really impressed. The staff was very attentive and nice and the breakfast was very good. We will be back. Hopefully in the fall to see Stillwater at it's prettiest! Thanks for a wonderful package.
- Pros: beauty, breakfast, service
- Cons: none
beautiful house, overpriced

my husband and i went there for our anniversary. the home was beautiful, and service was good. it is also one of the most expensive b&b's in town - so i expected the best. the romance package is NOT worth it - the champaigne and truffles are the exact same they leave out for guests all night to snack/drink on...but you can have it sent to your room for 50$ - or go downstairs and bring it up yourself for free. the brunch was tasty, but all the courses were the same two ingredients without any variety. i would recommend going, but make sure you don't order any packages, and know in advance what the brunch consists of (you should like the one ingredient that they make 4 courses out of!) take some time to make sure you can't get a better deal elsewhere in stillwater.
- Pros: beautiful home, nice outdoors, friendly staff
- Cons: , mediocre breakfast
Simply awesome!

My fiance and I recently were engaged at the Rivertown Inn and we can't say enough nice things about the inn and the staff. The inn is beautiful and very well done, the rooms are gorgeous and the service is impeccable! Anybody staying here would be doing themselves a dis-service by not doing the chef prepared dinner..Patrick is one talented man. I have been in many B&B's and this one ranks right up there with the best of them!
