Runs of varying terrain for skiers of all abilities, plus Saturday late-night skiing.

by Contributor

In Short
The hill is about an hour's drive from the Twin Cities, and there are areas for both skiers and snowboarders on the well-groomed, tree-lined trails. During peak season, the hill stays open until 1am on Saturdays, attracting swarms of students. These times are great for night owls with a passion for skiing, but frustrating for those who don't want to dodge young daredevils. Overall, there are 25 runs of varying terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Wild Mountain is serviced by two towropes and four quad chairlifts.

Vital Stats
Lifts: 4 (25 runs)
Skiable acres: 100
Snowboarding: Advanced terrain park, small terrain park, super pipe and half pipe.

We need some real snow. The effort of snowmaking is admirable but the conditions are poor. If you want some decent skiing nearby, head to the upper penisula.
