When I showed up at the salon for the first time, the woman at the front desk said I had an appointment with a different stylist than I requested. I believe I was switched to a newer stylist because she wasn't busy. Even though I requested a specific stylist when I made the appointment (due to recommendations on Citysearch), the woman at the front desk didn't seem to think that it mattered that they had switched me to a different stylist and hadn't even called to ask if this way ok. After talking with front desk coordinator for some time and them checking that the stylist I had originally had appointment with had time, I finally got in with the stylist I had scheduled the appointment with. (But while waiting for the person at the front desk to work everything out, the newer stylist called my name for the appointment and since they had not informed her about the situation and were not available to tell her since she was talking to the other other stylist at the time, I had to inform the newer stylist about the situation myself, which was very awkward.) Once I met the stylist I had requested for the appointment and she cut my hair, I was very happy with her personality and the results so I overlooked my initial experience and continued going to the same hair stylist. Months later the stylist left the salon. No one called from the salon to let me know about this, and the appointment was not rescheduled with another stylist either. Fortunately, I happened to call the day before to double check on the time of my appointment, and I was told she was no longer at the salon. The woman said they had called everyone to let them know. I asked what telephone number they had for me, and it happened to be with the wrong area code, which I knew I had given to them correctly. The girl didn't apologize, was rude and didn't suggest another stylist at the salon. Overall, I was happy with the stylist, but I was not impressed at all with the salon and would not go back.

Cons: Unprofessional salon, parking

I LOVE 526! Everyone there is awesome, and I've had nothing but great experiences with all of the services. Great atmosphere, excellent product line, comfortable climate - an all around fabulous experience. This is what a salon should be! Laura is an absolute gem too - she has a great aesthetic, she's creative, and she's one of the most talented colorists I've ever worked with! She is amazing! If I could give 526 ten stars, I would! The bottom line though, the work everyone there does speaks for itself. I get so many complements on my hair and my look all the time from total strangers. This is one of those places you only want to tell your sister or closest girlfriend about and keep it a secret from everyone else so it doesn't get so busy you can't get in anymore. It's a real treasure, a true diamond in the rough!

Pros: Great location, excellent service, amazing staff and killer product line!

Cons: Nothing!

Five Two Six is a stylish, yet approachable salon. The facial (my first ever) was so relaxing! She explained everything to me beforehand, but didn't bother me with the details during the process unless I asked a question. The facial lasted a full hour and my face was glowing and looked better after. They really catered to me and I didn't feel like they were rushing to the next appointment. I'll be going back for another very soon!

Pros: Stylish place, skilled staff

Cons: Street parking

I have visited this salon a few times and I really love it. It is very nice, the people were all friendly and they were very affordable. I have my hair colored and cut by a few different stylists and the all did a great job.

It is very attractive. Parking is not great but I could overlook that. My appointment was at the end of the day. I suspect that the person was tired from the lack of enthusiasm. I did not receive what I asked for. I am a college student and I felt like I was treated as such. I understand that because it happens a lot but I needed some serious taking care of because of all the study time lately. I felt a little gyped and that is why I am reviewing this which I generally wouldn't but it was a friday and I needed a pickup. Sorry!

Pros: attractive

Cons: parking and don't look like your in college

I went to 526 on the recommendation of a friend of mine, and I was thrilled with the experience! The ambiance was soothing without being snooty, and there are plenty of nice things to look at while you wait. I got a haircut and color with Lezlie, and she did a great job! She was professional, but easy to talk to and was not at all condescending about the (poor!) condition of my hair. She told me what she was going to do before she did it, and she did what she said she would do (something I think is rare!) It was a very different haircut from what I've gotten elsewhere, but I love it. She used a semi-permanent dye on my hair, and although it has faded quite a bit at this point, I still get compliments (I went to another salon to get a trim, and the stylist there was impressed with how rich my color was 8 weeks after it had been colored!) I would definitely recommend this salon -- especially if you are tired of stylists making you feel bad for not keeping up with hair maintenance as well as you should!

Pros: Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, high quality, low cost

Cons: Nothing as far as I could tell!

Thank you so much! I have found a new salon. I have not had a regular place to go for a while, but now I do and have already booked my next appointment, which I never have done before. The owner, Ed cut my hair and did a great job. This place has a very cool aesthetic without the snob appeal. Friendliest all around! Thanks again. Nancy

I have looked for salon for awhile, after reading reviews on this site I decided to try this salon. I was very surprised how nice this salon was. They did a great job on my haircut and it was half the price of my last two cuts. I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for a nice salon at a good price.

Pros: Good Price/Nice Location/Good Customer Service

I tried this salon for the first time after reading reviews on citysearch and found it to be a great place. I had a spa service as well as my hair colored. They were able to fit me in on short notice. It was a really good price. They also had bumble and bumble products which are super hard to find. I was really happy with my services and after I received a thank you card for visiting their salon a couple of weeks after my service I really plan on returning.

I visited this salon on a whim. They were able to fit me in on an hour's notice. They were very nice and it was one of the coolest salons I have been in since I moved here from out of state. It was not as expensive as some other salons in the area. I plan to go back for my next haircut and possibly color. I would recommend this to anyone.
