I can't wait to go back!

by MXK

I wasn't sure what to expect but this place surprised me by far.. The decor is beautiful and very comfortable yet classy and elegant. Many options on the menu and prices were reasonable. I had the Chicken Pad Thai noodles, and the Green Curry. I have to admit that for the restaurant being called Pad Thai I was expecting more from the noodles but it was not to my liking... The noodles were dry and stuck to each other in one clump.. However, the curry was amazing!! I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it..

Aside from the Pad Thai noodles, I will be coming back for more of that curry. Service was great also!

  • Pros: Many options, real authentic Thai food at great prices
  • Cons: "Pad Thai" noodles could've been better

Used to love it, but found hair in our food on two separate occasions

by cbrondyke

We liked this place a lot - both for eating there and ordering in. About 8 months ago when we were eating there, I found a big long black hair in my red curry. It was pretty disheartening. I told the waiter, who briefly apologized and brought out a new dish. Although I was a bit put-off that there wasn't a real heartfelt apology or really much concern shown, we finished our delicious dinner and left. I've had problems ordering curry since. Anyway, we've eaten there a number of times since then. A few days ago, we ordered some chicken pad thai to go. It was delicious... until we found TWO separate hairs in it! I couldn't believe it. Disgusting. The first time I passed it off as an isolated incident. This time I just can't do it. We will not be eating their food ever again and for the sake of sanitation, I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to anyone.

One of the better Thai places in the Twin Cities

by sportsed1

Restaurant reviews are always interesting. Sixteen of the reveiwers here gave this place 5 stars, while 7 gave it 1 star. The truth, I think is somewhere in the middle. I've been here several times and the food and services are almost always good. There are exceptions, of course, mostly depending on what kind of Thai food you're expecting. The Twin Cities have several good Thai restaurants, and I think Pad Thai is one of the better ones.

  • Pros: Good food, the the spice is right. Medium is medium and hot is hot

Good food, bad service

by cgcrazed

Went here back in November for lunch. The place was about half full. Ordered the pad thai w/chicken and it was really good, good portions...had enough for leftovers. But wow our service was absolutely horrible and is the only reason I give the place a 3/5. Lunch took 1.5 hours and half our table got their food 10-15 minutes after the other half.

  • Pros: food
  • Cons: service

Great service, great food, great atmosphere

by oiboone

Everyone who works at this restaurant is fun, friendly, and courteous. I eat there regularly with friends and coworkers, weekdays and weekends and have never had a bad experience. The food is great and the variety is amazing. The yellow curry is my favorite, but we've never had anything we didn't like. Try it - you'll like it.

  • Pros: Amazing variety of flavors, wonderful staff
  • Cons: none

Excellent food, but too noisy for conversation

by YoshAndStan

The food is as good as Thai food gets in the Twin Cities, but the noise level on a busy night makes it very difficult to hear conversation.

  • Pros: Tasty food
  • Cons: Noisy

Great Food and Good Service though busy

by moonshinerae

On a busy Friday night we only had to wait 15 minutes, lower estimate of what was told us. And even though our waitress had many tables, she was very watchful and came over as soon as we tried to catch her attention. The food came without much of a wait and it was very good. The thai cream ice tea is delicious, definitely recommend. My coconut peanut sauce was delicious. The best tofu I've had in a while. My boyfriends red curry was great. Though medium spicy is plenty spicy for most anyone; we tend to order the spiciest dishes at restaurants and medium spicy was quite good. Overall I'd definitely recommend it. Only negatives were limited parking and a loud packed place.

  • Pros: Good food, good service
  • Cons: parking, noisy crowd

ceilings look like through up + good food = eek

by picodairydairy

this place has through up ceilings, they make you want to through up because they look like through up. You can't help but notice, it's like an accident. Could easily be covered and would immediately make the atmosphere 100% better! It's that foam insulation randomly sprayed all over the open view ceiling & piping/vents with a bright yellow paint over the top of that. It's really a bummer considering the food is decent, especially the green curry which was delicious.

  • Pros: food
  • Cons: atmosphere, ceilings

BAD service

by nadya123

What a horrible experience. The waiter was extremely rude. When asked to explain what a dish was, his reply was, "I'm not the chef, read the description." When asked to bring a new glass of water because the old one was dirty, he argued for five minutes. When asked if the item on the menu was vegetarian, he said he didn't know and wouldn't find out. He was nowhere to be found when needed. He groaned when we asked for a few more minutes to place our orders. He charges us for sauces we did not even ask for. When we complained to the manager, no one did anything about it.

Never coming here again.

  • Pros: Nothing
  • Cons: Horribly rude service
