I see a past reviewer calls management "greedy" and otherwise disparages Snuffy's. Snuffy's serves good burgers, great malts, at a very fair price, and they've always been excellent to my family, and we've been going there for 20 years.
I Will Never Eat Here Again

The food is decent--for a greasy spoon. The ownership, however, is disrespectful, spiteful and greedy. Respectful people should not eat here.

Snuffy's boasts old time burgers and malts/shakes, and after your first taste - you will be back for more. The decor at Snuffy's is old tyme, but none the less still a fun trip out. The prices are complained about by a few but the portion sizes are very fair to the price.
With its red-padded booths and scuffed swivel stools, it has quite a bit of old-school charm.

In Short
At this St. Paul location, a 1/3-pound Snuffy Burger with a hunk of iceberg lettuce and tomato, crisp bacon and melted Swiss cheese is as heavenly for kids oblivious to fat grams as it is for parents who know better but indulge anyway. The food--burgers, fries and malts--is vintage nostalgia. A half-order of french fries arrives hot and not overly greasy. Never leave without ordering an extra-thick, real ice-cream malt.

Snuffy's is definately going for the old tyme feel with the booths and juke and decor, but somehow it feels natural and not kitschy. A $5 shake? That better be one good shake. Well, yes indeed if it's a butterscotch and fries. Half of the place was partitioned off last time I visited, but the cheerful waitress and happy tunes had be lost down someone else's memory lane.

Got a craving for a greaseburger and a malt? Snuffy's is the place. The interior is bright and nostalgic in a fun, rather than contrived manner. The burgers and fries and tasty, although pricey. The chocoffelate malt is the perfect companion to a classic meal.
- Pros: No frills
- Cons: Pricey
