Can't wait until my next hair appointment!

I am from LA and have been getting my hair done by the same person for the last 5 years. I moved to Minneapolis for college two years ago but did not risk taking a chance in Minnesota and getting my hair ruined by someone I didn't know. I am sooo picky and sooo protective of my hair, that I wouldn't dare trust my hair in someone else's hands! But, it really just started getting ridiculous because I would have to wait so long to go back to LA and get it done again and my hair would start to look so bad with my LONG roots. So I went online and tried to find a good salon and came across Accolades. I called in and was able to get an appointment in half hour! Sweet! I have really long curly hair, and I get it highlighted (full foil). I have dark brown hair but with the highlights my hair looks goldish. I got an appointment with PaDa. Not going to lie, I was really nervous but she seemed to know what she was doing so I was able to relax. Turned out, I LOVED my hair even more than when my stylist does it back in LA! She was very particular (like me) so I like that A LOT about her!! And she was so great about cutting my hair because she truly gave me just a TRIM. My old stylist was one of those scissor-happy people so I would get a trim for 6 months at least because she always cut too much. Once I didn't cut my hair for almost 2 years! I can't wait until my next appointment, seriously!! My hair looks GREAT!! I completely trust PaDa (plus she was a lot of fun to talk to) and Accolades now! I am so thrilled with my hair that I want to maybe try out a couple different stylists at Accolades to figure out who works for me the best. I love the fact that I can walk into ONE salon, and experiment with several stylists and know that either way, my hair is going to look good and I don't have anything to worry about it! Who else would you recommend to highlight and/or cut long, dark, curly hair? I dont mind getting highlighted by one and cut by another.

Organic facial

I was a little nervous because I always went to Carrisa for my facials but was told she was no longer with them and my appointment was made with Marcus. Well there was no need to be nervous, he did a wonderful job. He was professional, listened to my concerns and was fun to talk to as well.

I went with the organic facial this time with the Arigato line and really enjoyed it. I have very sensitive skin and this worked well with it, and Marcus customized my facial based on my needs, he was very knowledgeable on the products and how they would work with my skin type. I purchased 2 of the products to give them a try at home, will return with a review on them.

As usual, the entire staff were friendly and the atmosphere cozy..all around a great visit.

Amazing stylists and Great atmosphere!

I always go to Jenny to get my hair done, and she is phenomenal! She makes you feel comfortable, her chit chat is genuine, and she is great at understanding exactly what it is I want.

As for the salon, the interior is very neat and comfortable, and every time I go there is something new and interesting. Mini-facials with the haircuts, aromatherapies, drinks, etc. I got a free parafin dip once when she was running a little behind on her previous client. I go to Accolades every time and love it!

Aaaaamazing!

I FINALLY FOUND MY NEW STYLIST!

I found my stylist was, PaDa, here on citysearch. She is everything the reviews says she is. I was very unsure and indecisive about what I wanted, but she was so patient and didn't try rush me out of her chair. She asked me questions that no other stylist ever asked me before, she listened to me and delivered!

She did an amazing job on the color and cut. She even gave me many tips on how to style my hair!

I will definitely be back! Thank you PaDa!

Great Brows for Women and Men

I went to get my brows done and brought my boyfriend with me. He never had his done before and was afraid he would come with too thin of brows but the guy that did our brows was excellent. He took his time, was not rushed and very detailed. My boyfriend is now hooked as am I. He does skin care and waxing, so ladies bring your men to him because he is great.

I see danielle for my cuts my hair is curly and iIoften go too long between cuts but my hair always looks good ad under control. the suggestions she has given me are great now I use products that work with my hair not fighting what god gave me. I love my hair!!!!

Best Hair Experience

This was absolutely fantastic. I had a highlight and cut from David K. Cannot say enough. From the mini-facial during the hair wash to the soaking of the feet while processing hair. Tea, water, coffee, etc. Also David K has 30 yrs experience and it shows. He did an incredible job. From now on, I can't imagine going anywhere else.

After my color, I was asked if I wanted a make-up touch-up. Thinking it cost money (I am a poor college student) I said no, but then the front desk said it was complimentary!! what a nice service-I looked great when I left (I think) and it was nice to know there are still places that cater to their clients so well...

Marcus the massage master!

I was looking for a massage place in the area, and found Accolades through an ad in City Pages. All I wanted was a 30 minute, but because of my lack-of-massage in awhile Marcus convinced me to do 60 minutes. It was so worth it! I even got a massage on my hands and feet-glorious!
