what a great place

recently stopped in White Bear lake on the last day of a 4-day motorcycle trip with 3 others. once we got settled into our hotel we went to eat and our server suggested we check out this place called Doc's. She knew the owners and suggested we give them a hard time and assured us we would have fun. We had no idea just how right she was. We met Tom (one of the owners) right away and were immediately impressed. Within minutes we knew Tom, Kevin (other bartender), Steve (the DJ), and a whole team of the regulars. This bunch made the last night of our trip one to remember. they even took the time to help make arrangements so we could park our bikes and not worry about driving back to the hotel. This place is definetely on the "must come back here" list. If you're looking for a friendly place to hang out I highly recommend it.

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP!!

Doc's Landing is finally under new ownership! My family and I have known the new owners for many years and they are great people! I know a lot of people who stopped coming here because of the previous owners, but are now coming back for the awesome happy hour specials (Mon-Fri 2-for-1's from open to 7pm, Sat & Sun 3-7pm)! There are many large HD TV's to watch all your favorite sports, darts, pool, pull tabs, Buck Hunter, Golden Tee, Silver Strike Bowling and Bags. There's also a very nice patio with an amazing view! Karaoke on Tuesdays from 9-1am! Every Wednesday there's Bingo; final cover-all game is worth $1000! Most Fridays and Saturdays there is a live DJ playing all your favorite music and ready to take requests!

The owners do the majority of the bartending, so stop in for a drink and say hi!

Lot's of Fun

Doc's is under new ownership!! Dan and Tom are friendly, courtesy and fun owners and bartenders. They are very attentive to the customer's. It is a fun place to hang with your friends; listen to music; watch sports; and play pull tabs, darts and pool. The drink specials are great! I know I will be going there all of the time. Check it out!!

Docs

I went here for the first time about a month ago. The bar itself is not to bad. Plenty of room, games and good music. Much like several other posters on here, i had a problem with the Bartender. From the first moment we sat down at the bar, she was angry at the world and took it out on customers. I dont know if she has been run thru lifes ringers or what but she is not a jolly person to say the least. It really made my one trip to this bar a bad experience and i will not be back anytime soon.

Worst place ever!!!!

Decided to go there for a second time (fist time was a little quite but nice) with a group of 8 or so walked in around 12:00, not busy maybe 20 people in the bar excluding our group. Walked up to the bar to be ignored for about 10 mins as I watched others walk up and get served immediately . People were sitting at the bar with bottles of hard booze, full bottles. I swear the bartender was drunk herself or high and not on life, she messed up on my friends drink 4 times (I was standing right next too) I kind of mumbled in frustration and the girl sitting at the bar asks if I have a problem and I asked who she was (she did not work there, must have been a Doc's junky), I though this is not worth my time or my money. We decided to leave and as we were leaving the bartender was throwing bottles behind the bar and we proceed to ask who the owner was and she said she was the owner ( I thought WOW). Of course we walk out talking in our group and thought she could not be the owner. Not sure if she really is but I will never go there again and I would not recommend anyone going there. SLUM! I found it amusing that a prior review almost to the T experienced the exact same night!

Just my opinion?

The weekend bartender was unprofessional to my wife and her freinds... I think the owners should look at bringing in a new bartender, this one looks a wore out every time we stop in, which is not much! Friends of ours turned us on this place when we moved to WBL but the service is poor! i think the bartender may be related to the owners so that is why she still has a job... Otherwise not a bad place and we did here some rummblings of a possible kitchen for the summer of 2008..

Great place to pick up TRANSVESTITES

been there a few times, theres is quite the big TRANSVESTITE crowd there, not one good looking girl in the place, lots of guys and virtually no women!!! avoid this smokey bar, need i say more!!

awesome bands

i never been to docs before but i heard it rocks and ya no what it does great rock bands pool tables darts pulltabs big parking lot very nice bartenders awesome sound system for the bands i will come back for sure
