These chains have no freezers, no microwaves, no lard, no MSG and no problem filling every seat in the place.

In Short
Belly up to the intoxicating salsa bar, which runs the gamut from Minnesota red (ketchup-like) to the five-alarm salsa roja. Best by far: the fire-roasted tomato. The plump tacos are available either "Baja" style, with chopped onion, cilantro and salsa; or "American," with Jack cheese, sour cream, lettuce and diced tomatoes. Seafood fans go for the shrimp burrito, packed with a fabulous garden of char-broiled zucchini, yellow squash, red and green peppers, onions and lettuce.

Visit all the Baja shops and this one is the worst. Meat is often burn't, tortiallas are over-cooked or rubbery and they have stopped playing music. Of all the restrauants, the one on Excelsior Blvd has the most consistently good food - but dirty rest rooms. Would like to see a new one opened in Woodbury.
- Pros: Food, buritto's
- Cons: Counter help, consistency
