Don't waste your time

by fireyram

I've been here a number of times within the past year and the experience has been inconsistent, and mostly on the bad side. There's usually a really long wait to get seated, which I wouldn't mind, except I would expect something worth waiting for then. The burgers are pretty good, but if you ask for it done medium don't expect anything less than well done. On a recent visit we waited a 1/2 hour for the food and the fries were cold and soggy. The service is also very slow. On my last visit we had to catch the bus boy to ask him to get our waiter so we could pay.

I'm not going back. Go to Blue Door Pub instead.

  • Pros: sometimes good food
  • Cons: Wait times, food

For once a horrible burger

by beezy563

Every time I have been to the Nook, I have truly enjoyed the burgers that I have had. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I have never had such a juicy delicious burger in my life.

the last time i went, on a Monday, 6/21/09, was the worst burger I have ever had. Not only was my burger dry and without cheese,(I had the new philly cheese burger) but my wife had her usual shwishmushroom burger and it was burnt and dry also. both burger buns were burnt black and were dry and had a mouth drying effect. I had a couple beers, but that sure didnt help.

I love the Nook and will never discourage people from going and enjoying the awesome burgers, but beware of the mid afternoon cook. we went at 2:30 in the afternoon and, well, cr@p. I love you Nook, but damn that last time I was there, it was horrible.

  • Pros: I have always enjoyed and loved the burgers at the nook.
  • Cons: the last time i went was the worst I have ever had

Best burgers in Minnesota

by martiniblonde

Hands down these are the best burgers in Minnesota. Loved the Paul Molitor. Plan on waiting for a table though. I have yet to visit the Nook and there is no wait. If you have a little patience, you will be rewarded with great burgers and fries. For a hearty appetite, order the Nookie Supreme!

  • Pros: Great burgers and fries!
  • Cons: No good time to go to avoid the crowds.

Fantastic burger and french fry!

by hage0269

I love the juicy nookie with fried onions and fresh cut fries. LOVE! I also love the pizza here. I don't love the cramped room nor the atmosphere. Plus, it can take awhile to receive your food. FOR SURE the best burger in town.

  • Pros: Juicy Nooky, Heggies Pizza
  • Cons: Ambience, slow, location with street parking

Lived up to the HYPE!

by craig712

I had heard from friends from the area that The Nook was the place to go for good food. Never bothered to try it since I'm not from the area. Saw it on Food Network and finally decided I had to give it a shot and I was NOT disappointed. My burger was one of the best I've ever had but the fries. MAN THE FRIES! Best fries EVER!!! Check this place out!!!

  • Pros: The entire experience was awesome!
  • Cons: Parking isnt the easiest as there is no real lot.

Best Burger Yet.

by mnvet101

When I first looked at the outside of this small liitle nook as I was looking for a space to park I was questioning how DDD could have fit there cameras and Guy's big mouth in there. All 10 tables were full at 2 PM. Luckily the friendly patrons at the bar were accommodating enough to my brother-in-law allow us to sit next to each other taking the last two seats. The staff were very friendly. The fries were outstanding. I usually salt and need a dipping sauce. I ate half of them without ketchup. The highlight of course was the Juicy Lucy (Nookie) (Paul Molitor version).. I plan on returning with my older daughter and her fiance. I am gojing to challenge him to take the challenge with me. I want to let everyone know I got some nookie.

  • Pros: Great Burgers, Great Fries, Great Selection of Beers., friendly staff.
  • Cons: Not in my home town.

Best burgers hands down

by lauashcun

These burgers have to be the best burgers I have ever tasted. The cheese inside the juicy nookies is hot and creamy and is amazing on their awesome fries! I have been there multitudes of times and if I wasn't getting married soon and had to fit into a wedding dress I would eat there every day! Their burgers are awesome as well as their fries!

  • Pros: amazing food!
  • Cons: small
