For fast informal and filling food, you can't beat Dave's. I have never had a bad meal here. Clean, friendly and hey great food!

Eat at this chain and you'll swear the Mason-Dixon line moved to Saskatchewan. The weathered-looking wooden walls of Dave's shacks are decked out with roadside signs and cute pig paintings. You stand in line to order, then take a numbered wooden pig to your table. The sandwiches and platters (including Texas beef brisket and Georgia chopped pork) are filling, but favorites include a mess of St. Louis-style ribs, sticky with Dave's own award-winning sauce.

Died and went to barbq heaven

I love this place! I could eat there 4x a week and not get tired of it! Haven't had a bad meal in all the times I've gone there....about 100 times!!!! That's a pretty good record!!! I would recommend everything on the menu!

• Pros: fast service, good value, great variety of food
• Cons: not closer to home!
