there is a reason this course hosted the US amateur a few years ago. It is in great shape despite a ton of play and very, very difficult.

Eight of my friends and I joined the mens golf league this year. They make it impossible for us to play within an hour of eachother. So dining after league is difficult. The club house is over-staffed by idiots. Half of the time we are charged for non-residency rates and other times they don't ask. If you play 9 holes early in the day they require you to pay for a full 18 (raincheck offered). Often times they can't find your name to confim your tee time. Other than that the course is fun to play.
Pros: Nice course
Cons: Club staff, Golf league, Cart rules

Every time I've golfed this course, the fairways look like some extra-terrestrial landscape. Chunks of course are everywhere. Massive portions of the course were under construction and provisional greens or something were in play. Last, if you are not a Chaska resident, they gouge you on the greens fees. Honestly, you can find courses just as nice, and quite a bit cheaper with a 45 minute ride out of the cities.
Pros: Nice Rangers, not crowded
Cons: expensive, ill-maintained

This golf course is a excellent course for players of all skill levels. For the more advanced player it offers many holes with a risk/reward option. For those who are less than advanced most fairways are exceptionally wide and the course can be played at shorter distances. Great overall course one of the best in the Twin Cities.
Pros: Great Layout, Challenging put fair, excellent shape
Cons: pace of play, getting tee time

You cannot come close to Chaska Town Course for value and layout. This is one of the best courses in town, and I enjoy playing there when I can.

Cons: greens, price, staff

Great course that is in good condition all the time. There are a variety of challenging holes here. The play clock and marshalls, however, are a little annoying. I suggest playing on a weekday morning.

Yes it is a nice course, but there golf car rule of never going on the fairway is bad. They need cart paths on both sides of each fairway with this sick rule. You end up walking more when you use a cart than if you walk the course. Even if you hit it straight down each fairway you would walk 25 yards to each shot and 25 back to your car. Big waste of time. Plus this rule makes you carry several clubs to each shot so you can have the correct one. There is several better courses that cost half there amount within 20 miles.
