Benchwarmer Bob's reminds you of what Bob Lurtsema's real-life rec room must be like: big-screen TVs, a roaring fire, and lots and lots of pictures of Bob and his friends. The restaurant serves standard sports bar fare in heaping portions to a rowdy crowd more intent on the game than the servers. Take heed when they say appetizers serve two to four, they mean it.

Night life like night and day

Granted Bob's may not be the best when it comes to food, but every Weekend this place transforms it's self from a sports bar to nightclub along with a hip young crowd and a very good live DJ. I would fo' sure recemend this place if your in the area on a Weekend considering the nearest place you could get that kind of ambeince would be Uptown Mpls. almost a 30 minute drive north I-35. As well to work off those hangovers on sunday afternoon, this is a top notch place to catch a Vikings game....Or really any Minnesota team.

• Pros: Awsome DJ, Large food portions, Hip crowd
• Cons: service sucks, a bit on the $$ side

Worst Restraunt Ever!

We went to Bob's on a Wednesday evening. We were promptly seated but didn't recieve a menu. I had to hunt down menus myself for our table and the tables near us. We placed our order at 7 pm for appetizers and our meals. It took 40 minutes to get our appetizers that were very simple, nachos. At 8 pm with still no dinner in site I told ourt waiter that I was very upset and wanted our dinners ASAP. Our waiter said that they were almost finished. At 8:15 pm I told the manager to cancel our order and that we were not paying for the appetizers. We had 3 tables seated after us that ordered, recieved their dinners and left before ours order was even looked at. Bob's was a huge waste of time.

Horrible

Benchwarmer Bob's was a horrible place. The service was terrible along with the food. I had to wait 40 minutes for a table, then It took a long time for the server to come to my table. They seemed to be in a hurry and were not very friendly. The food was not that great either. I would never recommend this Cafe to anyone.
