The lady behind the counter was rude. The ice cream was too runny (I know that might sound stupid, but it IS possible to keep it at a temperature and consistency so it doesn't get EVERYWHERE right away). The cones are too small for the ice cream scoops, they need to make them to be more accommodating. My hands were sticky from the dipped cone and the ice cream before I finished paying. They were out of napkins at the counter. Waaay overpriced ($5-6 per cone). The ice cream wasn't that good, very lacking in flavor and sugar. I've had better quality consistently at big chain places like Cold Stone. Very little parking.
Pros: Close by
Cons: Everything else.

The best coffee drink I have ever had was a cold-press soy iced latte from Sebastian Joe's. Delish. :)

Great service, outdoor seating directly in front and on the side(s). Many Ice cream flavors (all hand made) to choose from.

This my absolute favorite icecream place in the Twin Cities. They just renovated the Linden Hills location and added a cute outdoor porch and fireplace. There is always a new icecream to try but its so hard to not order my favorite the Pavarotti (Banana, caramel and chocolate!) when you know how good it is! I take all my out of town friends to Sebastian Joe's- its a Cities icon!

I've been a fan of ice cream since age 6 and aside from cream and dream in prague, this is the best ice cream I've ever had. I love the oreo and pavoratti. If you're feeling a little daring, try a scoop of chocolate coyote with a glass of water.

I like the classics. Sure the Oreo is what everyone always wants but have you ever tried the chocolate? Just plain chocolate? I loved it growing up and when I moved to Seattle I had fantasies for years about having it shipped to me by the crate. No one makes their chocolate with such care to create such simple lovely chocolaty flavor. If you haven't tried it, get yourself a scoop and enjoy the discounts for the unbearable winters and relatively recent addition of computers for free internet access. Also they are open late and packed usually right until close which means on one hand you'll likely stand in line even if it is 11:30pm, but on the other you won't feel like an intruder coming in a half hour before close.

My first coffee experience when i moved to the USA, became a coffee addict. Tried 'em all, Seb J's has the best decaf latte out there. Best bakery treats too, you allready know about the ice cream, try the flavors B4 you buy too, helpfull staff, a must stop after walking the dogs around Lake of the Isles, you'll often see a few puppies lying under the tables outside, worth going out of your way for.
Pros: Great coffee/bakery, Great ice cream, Great ambience
Cons: Parking but worth it

well.. i live in minneapolis actually about 2 miles away from sebastian joes. i found out about them when i saw that they were the #1 ice cream spot in the twin cities. they didnt let me down at all. the ice cream is great(the flavors change slightly every day). there is a line every time i go there, no matter what day or time, but for some reason they seem to have great service that moves you along pretty well. the neighboorhood and the entire feeling you get when your there is really great. one con, is that if your driving you'll have a tough time finding parking. but without a doubt i recommend sebastian joe's.
Pros: the ice cream, atmosphere, location
Cons: parking

I do not live in Minneapolis, but have been exposed to Sebastian Joe's during my last two visits. This is some of the very best ice cream I have ever consumed, and I've traveled all over the world. The mocha mint and caffe latte are outstanding. It's expensive, but,as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I wouldn't think of visiting Minneapolis without a visit to Sebastian Joe's.
Pros: great flavors, great texture
Cons: expensive
