Have I died and gone to heaven?
by JENBRA
this place is so great. its like someone crawled inside my head and said WHAT DO YOU LOVE and then put it all together under one roof. I went there for the first time, this weekend and ended up back there again 2 more times before i left. organic food, homemade bread, fresh brewed coffee, juice, pastries-everything i had was wonderful. i wish you were open where i live.
- Pros: food food food
- Cons: busy busy busy

Disgusting food and BAD service
by JenniferIrene
Came here on a Saturday morning. It was packed. There were toddlers running around and in between people?s legs. It was LOUD. You have to wait in line and order your food and drinks, pay. Then move over to another line to pick up your juice/coffee etc. Well that line was completely screwed up and no one made our drinks, I guess they were lost in limbo. Once we got our drinks you have to fight in a tiny space to get sugar packets and creamer. I suggest you use your elbows as weapons. Expect to be stepped and poked by children whose parents need to keep them on a tight leash. Once you find a dirty table sit down and wait. Our food runner walked aimlessly around the restaurant and outside holding our food before he spotted us. Our food was cold. I got some sort of vegetarian Cajun scrambled eggs, potatoes, and vegan sausage. Imagine wet cardboard, salt and something that resembled cough medicine. I will NEVER go back here again. If you do go, expect to over pay for bland/horrible food.
- Pros: You can sit outside, some parking available
- Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE
Fresh and Friendly

The food here is incredibly fresh, and the atmosphere is friendly. Almost anything you order is sure to please, but I would recommend their hummus wrap, breakfast quesadilla, and tomato basil soup. Their hemp bread is also a great item to bring home.
90% dinning experience were good!
by finelycooked
I have been here for breakfast, dinner for many times including my Valentine's Day dinner. Mostly, the food and service were quite good. Just once, I waited my turkey sandwich for 30 minutes but was not heated as I wanted it to be. When it was sent back, the center was still cold. But most of the dinning experience were good, if you are organic food lover, it's a right place to go.
fast service, wonderful food- all around great!

I have never walked through the door of this place and seen it empty! The line generally is to the door, which can't be bad! You walk in, wait in a line to order, and they bring your order to your table- if you can't find a table they will generally take time time to help you find something. This is not a place to go and take your time, it's a place to go in, eat, and get out. They serve excellent and delicious breakfast and also lunch- i have never been in during dinner hours. If you are in the uptown area, stop in for a bite or a bowl of soup on a cold winter day!!
- Pros: fast, in and out, service. great food, healthy food!
- Cons: it's a full house, if you don't like busy, don't go here!
This popular restaurant offers a haven from fast food, smoky grills and loud eateries.

In Short
The mellow staff and muted decor--gray stone tiles and earth-tone walls--set the tone of this Lyn-Lake eatery. It caters to vegetarians and vegans, so everything is fresh and healthful. The flexible kitchen can add chicken to the quesadillas, already packed with cheese, spinach and mushrooms, for surprisingly thrilling results. Mop up creamy tomato basil soup with homemade bread or slurp up the cool melon soup. The bakery's desserts range from simple to outrageous--Butterfinger cheesecake, anyone?
Best Vegetarian/organic in Town!

Terrific food, great service, great ambiance.
Best stuff: 1/2 price wine on saturday night!
Interesting and creative menu w/ tasty veggie options (I love the tempeh and fish offerings!)
Great service!-I dont know what others have been complaining about,
I've been going there for 5 years and never had a problem!
Great home-made breads
Had many a romantic dinner here.
The not so great:
Good breakfasts, but WAY too noisy. I stopped going for breakfast because I couldnt hear myself think!
Deserts: not so good. Funny that their breads and foods are great! But the deserts always taste kinda stale
and overly sweet and uninspired to me.
(Check out "Patricks Bakery for some really yummy pastries!)
Too bad Lyndale ave is so busy, I'd love to sitoutside, but dont like breathing car exhaust.
- Pros: organic veggie food
- Cons: noisy for breakfast
Very Good Breakfast
by sandiego36
breakfast here is awesome, ambiance a bit sterile but I think that is due to the cafeteria style seating. The service is efficient and good. The menu is a bit hard to read (on the walls behind the counters) for us old timers, but the choices are wonderful. Will be back soon.
- Pros: The Food
- Cons: Seating
skip dinner - go for breakfast
by fireyram
I've been here a few times for breakfast and it's always good. It gets really busy though. The bacon and egg croisant sandwich is fabulous. I just went for dinner with my fiance and we both agreed it was only average, and too expensive for what you get. The miso salmon was too salty and didn't have much flavor; the chicken fettucine was also bland. The portions weren't very large for $18, and the service wasn't that great, just average.
So to sum it up - go for breakfast and you won't be dissapointed, but dinner isn't worth it.
- Pros: outdoor seating, parking, breakfast
- Cons: dinner, service, crowded
