As the proud owner of Local Motion I welcome your opinions- we can't please every customer but after 21 successful years in the boutique business we would have to say we do it well! Unlike the department stores where you couldn't get help if you tried- we bend over backwards to find you the hottest outfit for your lifestyle and occasion. What a happenin' boutique... artsy, original and irresistable clothing. I recently bought a belt from there, made with 100% leather and hand blown glass from Argentina. Where else would you find that unique of an item? All items are quality made, and available for individual fitting as well. It's definitely a little pricey (depending on where you normally shop) but well worth spoiling yourself at least once a season and splurging on something different.
Pros: Friendly owner, Free parking after 6, unique

After trying on a special occasion dress at this store, I walked out of the dressing room and the store owner and two other customers commented on my appearance in the dress. Even though it is not their policy, she said that she would hold the dress until 2. An hour later I arrived at the store to buy the dress. She said that since I didnt come right back she had sold the dress to another lady 10 minutes prior to my arrival. That night at the event I was going to wear the dress to, I saw the lady who purchased the dress wearing it and it was one of the ladies that was in the store while I tried it on and commented on me about it! Not only did the owner not hold the dress, she lied about the time it had been purchased.

I love shopping at Local Motion! A staple boutique of Minneapolis, I feel good just walking IN. It's a little pricey, but well worth it when you find the thing that's *just right*.
Pros: Unique, Great Style, Great Service
Cons: expensive, street only parking
