Spa Services

I have gone to this location on 3 different occassions to get my eyebrows waxed. Each time I have given the same instructions and each time I have ended up with different results from the same aesthetician. Beyond my eyebrows being uneven, there was no attention to detail. They have not proven themselves at all, and now in light of the fact that they are now raising their prices, I will definitely never be back.
Juut Downtown-Pearson is awesome
by sweetphoenix 13 at Citysearch
Jutt Downtown has been my salonspa for two years. Typical I get my haircut by Pearson K. He has great skills {even works at NYC Fashion weeks every year} and looks good using them. I have really thick and course hair, so it is hard to find a stylist. He does an amazing job and listens well sometimes.
I have also gotten mani/pedis, facials and massages there and they were all wonderful. The front desk staff seem overworked or just senseless.
- Pros: Atmosphere, Stylist's talent, and Location
- Cons: Price and front desk staff
dull scissors, bad attitude, 4" I didn't agree to lose!!!

What can you say!?! A day before a big event, this b****h unevenly chopped off my hair and subtly insulted me.
The only thing green about this salon is the $$$.
Stay away from this chain!!!
I found another place and got a $40 fix. Very expensive experience. But I have learned my lesson!
I honestly won't be surprised when they go under.
- Pros: short lesson on "Minnesota Nice"
- Cons: not talented, especially for the price
JJ from Juut
by juneau6975 at Citysearch
I heard JJ left and went to a salon called John Richards Salon in Minneapolis. I've already made my appointment with her. I just LOVE the way she cuts my hair too!
Tired of searching.

When I lived with my parents I had a fantastic stylist and colorist at a salon in my home town. When I left for college, I began with what would become a continuous search for a stylist who would make me feel/look great. I tried the salon near campus, which had cheap student cuts and was a quick walk and was never terribly impressed. Then I got a gift card to Juut . I had never been, so when I called to make an appointment for a cut and foil, I was not caught off guard by them giving me only one appointment time and one name. Halfway through my color, the colorist asked who was cutting my hair and I said that I didn't know. When he checked we learned that no cut had been scheduled. Thankfully they were able to find someone to blowdry my hair. So, I scheduled an for a cut appointment with that stylist. The color I got was fine, not inspiring or amazing. It looked nice and natural, but most people, even my close girlfriends, didn't notice, which is disappointing after paying almost $200. The cut I got a week later was also fine. Not exciting and not better than the cheap cuts I'd been getting while in school. I expected more them.
Recently, I had another appointment , I called the Roseville location and asked for a stylist based on price. I got a cut with JJ. She was AWESOME! I got a great cut, she listened to my input and also helped me find something that would flatter my face. I was so happy and have gotten so many compliments. I had found my stylist! But, alas, on Monday I received a call from Juut saying that JJ is no longer with them and asking me if I'd like to reschedule my next appointment with another stylist. I haven't called them back yet. I just don't know what to do based on my inconsistent experience I've had with them in the past.
I guess I've never had a bad cut or color, but I don't think they necessarily deserve all of the hype they get. Maybe I'll try the stylist my friend uses, and if that fails just try another salon.
- Pros: Sometimes great results
- Cons: Inconsistent, potentially confusing for first timers
By far the best!

From just moving to from Boston to Minneapolis I was left with a really over grown hair cut! I was referred to Haley at uptown salon but after calling there I found her at the southdale mall location! Pulling up to the mall parking lot was diffrent but easy to park! The service she gave me was outstanding! By far better than the $120 haircuts I was paying for on the east coast! She is easy going and really a good listener! Because I have difficult hair I'm always weiry about the first cut with somebody new but she was amazing! She even gave me a special style for going out that night!!!!!
Even though this location is closing, Juut is not worth your time

Juut is a large corporate conglomerate. They don't care about their customers (or their employees for that matter). Stylists are ALWAYS in a rush, always. I walk in, sit down in the chair and leave with the same haircut I came in with. Not even refreshed. I'm convinced their sheers are blunt and actually don't do anything. I think the stylists and other employees are better off without Juut. They have talent, but they are so pressured to produce that it doesn't have the chance to come through. I have found a better salon. Referral: Salon Stella. By far. Four stylist chairs, not 50. Personal service.
- Pros: Kind people
- Cons: Corporate, greed, poor results, EXPENSIVE
No Daymaking for This woman!
by lorikurvers at Citysearch
I have been to many Juuts before and have never found the right stylist! Every time i go in my stylist is at lest 15 min late and seem to hurry me through. My "consultations" were pretty much telling me what they want to do and i had no say what so ever. I really was not happy at all with their recent price raise for their already high prices. The only good thing about them was their front desk people, who when making small talk with are not treated with respect from David Wagner and their corporate office. The one salon i was somewhat happy with was Uptown, but now i hear that is becoming the training salon. I was really enjoying the Aveda Products but now just started Using Kerastase and Pureology. Im defiantly going to recommend MarcDaniel Salon(read my review) in Maple Grove. So if you are considering trying Juut, i would really recommend reconsidering it! You can get a much better haircut for a lot less with a stylist who listens!
- Pros: Great Font Desk
- Cons: High Prices not worth the final result
BEST IN STATE!!!!!!!!!

I was referred just recently to Jessica and Haley at Juut in uptown. My service was amazing. Despite all of the bad reviews on this sight I thought to myself "people don't see the good things only the bad" Instead I took my friends advice and tried! I left the salon feeling refreshed and energized! They had transformed me in to a stylish trendy almost fifty year old! So to all of those who are reading I give these to ladies top hair stylist in my book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Pros: good service
- Cons: parking
Makeup but not master
by betsi100 at Citysearch
I visited Juut on Grand Ave. for the first time since my return to Minneapolis. I went to see their master stylist. I did not receive a master hairdo. The hair was barely cut, I got too short bangs and the blowout was a joke. I spent the next hour at home trying to make it look better. For what I paid, it was highway robbery. However, Sara, the makeup gal, rocks! She does a great job and is fun to work with. Also, the staff is really nice. I would go back for makeup and maybe to another stylist. But, I would not pay the master again.
- Pros: Makeup staff
- Cons: Prices
TERRIBLE!!
by delilahcrown at Citysearch
Juut is a terrible salon and spa. Their staff is crabby and thinks they are all great. I agree with the other reviews about the prices/services/etc. Take a hint and go to the other 500 salons in the area that are more qualified and lower priced.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Everything
