Whenever I need something done on my car that is not covered by warranty, I take it to Parents. My old beaten-up car I also took to Parents. My husband knows how to fix cars, but when he thinks his time is worth more than what hell pay for repairs he takes it to Parents. In our experience, mechanics are always honest, they never tried to upsell anything, and our cars were always ready on time even earlier than quoted. Of course Id like prices to be lower, but if Im not willing to work for free why should someone else. I pay for quality, thats why I go to Parents.

Added services not wanted, most likely did unncessary work

They diagnosed something that was probably not broken and I stupidly did not get a second opinion. They also added several items to the work order that were not requested or approved by me or my wife after getting a written list of things we wanted done. I'm never going back.

Very reliable. Done right, done honestly and done on time. If the work is not worth doing because of the age or condition of the car, they'll tell you and recommend an alternative.
