I have been going to Parents for over 30 years. We've had new cars, junkers and everything in between. My experience?They do the work on time, unless they uncover a hidden problem (very rare), they always call you before proceeding, their estimates are accurate and they're totally trustworthy. When we had junkers, they'd often advise us not to bother fixing something, it wasn't worth it. Or they'd suggest a cheaper alternative that was appropriate for a junker.If they say I must fix something, I totally trust them and do it. Their rates are not cheap, probably average from what I have heard from others. But they won't, absolutely won't, cheat you.

Added services not wanted, most likely did unncessary work

They diagnosed something that was probably not broken and I stupidly did not get a second opinion. They also added several items to the work order that were not requested or approved by me or my wife after getting a written list of things we wanted done. I'm never going back.

Very reliable. Done right, done honestly and done on time. If the work is not worth doing because of the age or condition of the car, they'll tell you and recommend an alternative.
