Service horrid, ice cream so-so

I live around the corner from Edina Creamery, and think it is one of the most horribly run businesses I know of. First, the ice cream is just average.

In addition, I've been there three times when there were lines of 20+ people, with only one very slow, unfriendly person working. Two of these times I simply left and went somewhere else.

I have also walked by numerous times when the Creamery was not open, although it was during their posted business hours.

The place is cluttered-- for at least the past 3 years, there have been unsightly cardboard boxes and other junk piled at the back of the store.

Frankly, I can't believe anybody can get excited about this place!!

Oh yum!

I firmly recommend the caramel cookie praline. It is amazing. I have been going to the Edina Creamery since it opened and the ice cream is the best in the cities. To be fair though, the people that work there are not so great. However, it's ice cream...service shouldn't be that big of a deal when it's just an ice cream cone....the most important thing is taste! So, they're quick, but not friendly and the ice cream is INDESCRIBABLE!!!!

Don't ever drop your icecream!

My feelings for this establishment are quite tainted by an experience we had there a few months ago. My 2 year old son accidentally dropped his cup of ice cream onto the floor after the second bite and they refused to replace it. It was against their policy, they told us. My husband even discussed it with the owner and she claimed that no other ice cream place would replace dropped ice cream either (she was quite rude about it, too). He proved her wrong by calling about six other places when we got home and they all said of course they would replace dropped ice cream. Ben & Jerry's even offered free ice cream cones to my husband and son. Anyway, I don't care how good Edina Creamery's ice cream is, the way they treat customers is lousy and we won't be going there again.

THE BEST without a doubt.

Ice cream is my passion, and the Edina Creamery is simply the best. I am just sorry for all the years I had to settle for the overrated Sebastian Joe's - they just don't get it. THIS is what God intended when he blessed the world with ice cream!!
