This is a wonderful kids bookstore! They have a variety of children's books and the staff there is always ready to make a suggestion. This is a very kid-friendly place. They also have pets for kids to see and play with.
If Maurice Sendak owned a bookstore, it would look a lot like this charming, kid-centric menagerie.

Kids know to enter through the purple inset door that's just their size, while adults fumble--and then are startled by a scolding from the rooster in the front window. Caged birds squawk and coo, at least two cats compete for customers' attention and a grape arbor looks lifted from the pages of "Where the Wild Things Are." There's a wall of picture books; sections on nature, world religions, creative activities and fine arts; even parenting books for moms and dads.
