This spa was recommended to me because of the esthetician who works there. I had been experiencing some skin problems and didn't know what to do about it. The esthetician named Kate was amazing. She gave me a micro-derm and a chemical peel and set me up with a complete skin treatment plan to do every day. I signed up for a package of six treatments and she gave me some samples to try at home. I can't wait to go to the next appointment and can already see a difference in my complexion. Kate was so helpful and answered all of my questions. She comes from a medical background and was able to explain the science behind what I was experiencing and the treatment plan. The person at the front desk was also wonderful. She had a great sense of humor and was really helpful. As a man I haven't been to many spas but, I was really impressed with Pull Out a Plum. It was easy to get to and parking was not a problem with the ramps being so close. I can't recommend it enough. It was the best money i have spent in a long time.

I thought I knew what a good facial consisted of prior to my first trip to "Pulled Out A Plum" and then I had a facial done by their Skin Specialist Kate.....it was phenomenal! Last week was my second facial and I cautiously also had a Microdermabrasion. My skin has never looked better, I actually look better now in my late thirties than I did in my twenties! Kate has been wonderful at not only healing years of seriously neglected skin, but also helping me to know how to treat my skin properly! I was so relaxed in the environment at the Salon that I fell asleep during the facial, as a busy mom that is so wonderful to be pampered! When people ask me why I glow I tell them Kate at Pulled out a Plum deserves the credit, she really does! ~ Colleen H.

I have been going here for many years and have yet to receive anything but excellent service! From the moment I arrive until I walk out the door I'm pampered by the staff and the cozy and elegant atmosphere. It definitely provides a much needed oasis from my hectic life. While I consistently return for hair cut and color, I have also enjoyed many of their other services. The staff here are consistently excellent, attentive, knowledgable and professional. Another plus is that Pull Out a Plum gives back to the community through events in support of local charities! If you park in the ramp off of 49 1/2 - it's a quick walk (through mostly covered walkways!) to the back door. I highly recommend Pull Out a Plum to anyone who wants to be treated right!

I was referred by a close friend that has been going to this salon for years. After a string of less than satisfactory salon visits I decided to give it a shot and am so glad I did!! The entire experience was fabulous....from the warm and helpful receptionist to the stylist. The atmosphere was very unique and truly made me feel like I was in a high class spa. I left with an amazing cut and color and a few gifts for friends from the boutique area. Very satified and can't wait to go back!

What a refreshing experience I had recently at Pull Out A Plum salon and gallery. The esthetician (Kate) gave me a microdermabrasion treatment followed by a European facial. It was like having an "out of body experience". I felt like it took off all the old build-up from our long cold winter. I am already looking forward to my next visit because saving out skin is everything! I went in with my sister and while she got her facial, I treated myself to a nice relaxing pedicure. After we finished, Martha did our hair. I wish I could show you how beautiful my new cut and highlights are, but I can only tell you in words. Now, I really am ready for Spring!!!!!!!!!! This salon at 50th and France is really unique because they carry such beautiful gifts and jewelry. You can really do it all in one place because they have a wonderful line of skin care products as well as the wonderful make-up "Bare Minerals". I like the "Bare Minerals" for my skin because it blends in so well you can't tell it is make-up.

Pros: You come out feeling like a million buck! You look like it too!!!

Cons: We can't do it everyday.

Michele Gatien has created a wonderful setting for pampering--whether hair, beauty, spa or a bit of shopping--I never go wrong! I receive consistent compliments on my hair (naturally curly), and every jewelry item I have purchased brings raves. I am known for purchasing gifts from the Plum--the gift certificates for their pedicures are a recent favorite! As a long time customer, I respect the attention to detail, the value placed on service, and the community committment shown by showcasing local artists and supporting a variety of non-profit organizations in creative ways. The Plum is a business that delivers!

I’ve never posted a review anywhere before but this is the best cut & color I've had. Until now, I’d never found a stylist I could stick with because either my hair was awful or the stylist’s attitude was. I’m glad I took a coworker’s advice and tried out Plum. My stylist, Katie, is exactly what I’ve been looking for- friendly, professional and talented. I’ve gone back twice since my first visit, so I know it wasn’t just a fluke. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments on my hair because for the first time my color doesn’t make me look washed out. And you know you have a good cut when your hair looks great, no matter what you do to it. I couldn't be happier!

I was looking for a salon to have my haircut and I came across Pull Out a Plum. It looked like a cute salon with a lot of potential. I went in for a simple cut and got the worst cut of my life. It was horrible and nothing of what I expected or even asked for. I had to go to another salon to have it fixed, as I didn't trust the Plum stylist to fix it. I expected more from this place, being on 50th and France. The salon and the location had me convinced it would be a good place to try...so wrong... I do not recommend this place.

Recently I came into Pull Out A Plum for a spa day and I absolutely LOVED it! The massage from Andrea was the best I have ever recieved and trust me, I have had many massages. The facial was so revitalizing and made my skin feel fresh and replenished. Thank you Kelly ! My friend also recieved a manicure and pedicure and said she was very impressed with the level of professionalism. All of the employees are talented and extremely friendly. I look forward to the next visit and I recommend this salon and spa to anyone and everyone who loves to be pampered!

I have been searching for a new hair stylist for over a year now. So I saw the reviews here and thought hey I'll give these guys a try. I went in and saw Rob for a cut and color. He gave me the best hair cut and color I have EVER had. He was so nice and easy to talk to he really seemed like he loves what he does. I'm telling you go and see this guy, it will be the best money you have ever spent, and it isnt that expensive either. The shop is full of fun stuff to look at and buy. THANKS CITYSEARCH you found me my stylist for the next 20-30 years
