Wonderful!

Contributor at Insider Pages

I went to Centerpoint last weekend and had my first Shiatsu massage. I arrived feeling anxious and tense and left feeling like relaxed but somehow simultaneously energized. The student was kind and gentle, applying just the right pressure at just the right points, and created a comfortable environment for my first visit. The only thing that made it less than perfect (and by no fault of the student) occurred when the instructor entered my session abruptly and unannounced, failing to introduce himself and then proceeding to tell the student the type of treatment I was to receive as if I wasn't there. However, the student handled this interruption gracefully and pardoned the interruption, once again putting me at ease. I would absolutely recommend Centerpoint to anyone who feels comfortable in and supports a teaching and learning environment. For the combined experience and the price, I'll definitely be going back!

LEFT ME HANGING!

by samiam1129 at Citysearch

I tried to schedule a couple of students to come to our business and give chair massages to our employees as part of our "Stress Buster" Fridays in the month of December. I was in contact with the schools "Manager", Michael Casper who worked with me to get this event scheduled for Fri. Dec.28. This in iteself proved to be a challenge because the students were on Winter Break but everything seemed to be set. OR SO I THOUGHT! That morning, 3 hours before the event was to begin I got a call from the students supervisor saying one of the students was not able to attend. One student would not have been enough to handle all of the employees. The supervisor and I agreed it would be best to reschedule the event for the following Friday (Jan. 4)Michael was on vacation but I did manage to get ahold of him and he told me they have had this problem before with this particular student cancelling or not showing up. WHY WOULD THEY LET THIS STUDENT COMMIT TO A CORPORATE EVENT WHEN THEY'VE HAD PROBLEMS IN THE PAST?! I had to scramble to bring in lunch for our employees which was a poor substitute for massages. Now here we are on Jan. 3 and although Michael was supposed to contact me YESTERDAY I called him to see where we were at for our rescheduled event. He told me they were unable to accomodate us. He made no attempt to reschedule again or give any other options to make this right. Now once again I am left to find yet another substitute for our employees. To say I'm disappointed is a HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT! This has made me look bad in the eyes of our company president and our employees. With all the stress this has caused I'm the one who REALLY needs a massage but I WILL NOT be contacting them because it is obvious they don't have the knowledge it takes to provide good customer service. I don't think they deserve even one star but that's the minimum.

  • Pros: Quick to plan
  • Cons: VERY unreliable, no follow through, POOR customer service
