The Bolt/Underground/Eagle is an embarrassment to our people. No, not because of the crowd they serve, but because of their staff. We went there to try a new venue for dancing this weekend and didn't even make it past the door. The policy is that they don't accept passports, which is probably the craziest thing I've ever heard. Leave it up to some fat, hairy, Minnesotan morons to not accept the one form of identification that is accepted across the world. As if that weren't bad enough, the fatass that told us this was incredibly rude and actually pretty mean about it; like we had done something wrong by presenting a valid form of identification. This place is not even a joke; because jokes are funny. It's not funny when our people hate each other. I guess you've got to stick to the good old places that never disappoint. Stay away from the Eagle/Bolt!

Diffenately misleading in its advertising.. there is no great dancing or fun here at all. The crowd was leather/levi I guess, but thats my point. What is this place trying to be and who are they serving? I couldn't tell. After trying it for the fourth time.. the dance floor usually holds maybe 4 people if your lucky, the dancing crowd is at other clubs. The main bar was full, but was not the crowd I would like to drink with. If your more into the dancing scene then avoid the place at all cost. If your into leather.. than I guess this is your place, but on the whole, not my cup of tea. This place needs some sort of focus.
Pros: finally a bar for the full figured man to go to
Cons: bad atmosphere and poor disco

Oh My! I visited MPLS from Orange County, CA, and this was possibly the best and hottest time I had among members of the same gender of those who were single and available...and I visited every club truth be told...I found the bartenders 'way' friendly, but 'way' hot...the crowd to be of leather on some nights (I was on extended stay for 4 months), but not intimidating where you want them to smile at you...I totally got lucky in the bathroom more than a few time, definitely a recommeneded place, though, yes!
Pros: Parking, Ambience. Customer Service
Cons: Nothing to Mention

Kind of ying and yang. Unimpressive exterior. Go into the eagle side and you've got a traditional leather lounge. Old but very clean. There is a doorway cut next door to the Bolt which is a really neat modern/industrial video bar with the best flat panels and sound. The bar is diamond plate and stainless steel. Again the place including the restrooms (which also had diamond plate) were kept very clean even on a very crowed night. Bolt underground (downstairs) is concrete and cool with a fog machine providing just the right mist. They had the two hotest dancers on the bar that night that it was hard to take in all the other eye candy. Had I been ready to connect there were lots of offers. Energy, great staff, just the right decor. The eagle/bolt experience will be a good memory for visitors. I could see traveling 400 miles back to the twin cities just to go there another Saturday night.

Both of these places can be great fun. The Eagle is the leather bar. The Bolt is the dancier side. Both have cheap, strong drinks...and are very busy. The Eagle is really fun in the summer, check out the beer bust on the patio. Also, they have a 3 for 1 night. The Bolt has a great dance floor (a chain link fence separates it from the rest of the bar) and great dance music. Be sure to leave your attitude at the door.

I used to come here when it was the Mill Inn, I have great memories from that place so it's nice to see what it has become. So anyway, the lunches are great. They always have a good special of the day. Service from David the bartender is always a pleasure. Went for 3 for ones and that was ok. It would be better if there was more space.
Pros: great service
Cons: needs to be bigger
