Just what I needed
by iheartmassage
I went to the Wellness Center after some emotional turmoil and before starting a new job. I was referred by a good friend who put me in her 'friends and family network.' With that, I was able to get a reduced fee for my massage service, which really made me happy.
But, the best part was the service itself. My therapist started by talking to me about what brought me to the Wellness Center and what type of relief I needed. After getting an understanding of what I was feeling at the time, the therapist tailored his session to meet those needs. The therapist told me step by step what areas he would work on and why.
He was professional, yet kind and friendly. Afterward, I felt relaxed and peaceful. He took the extra step of offering some tips to calm stress and anxiety. It was very helpful and just what I needed.
- Pros: Therapists really tailor your service to your specific needs
- Cons: None!
What an Experience
by Cyrea
I have never been to a place with so much selection and such a caring heart. I very much enjoyed the service and the different way that things were looked towards my care. The float tank is something I can not explain and I wish everyone knew how good it felt to relax at a state most of us never reach.
Thank you to the wellness team!!!!!!!!!
- Pros: It changed my day and my illness.
- Cons: Only thing- I got lost

Best Massage I've Ever Had!!!!
by pakidrums
I've had lots of massages in my life with lots of different massage therapists with different levels of skill and expertise. I had a massage a few months ago at the Wellness Center after developing some unexplained muscle strain and stiffness in my neck. It was by far the best massage I've ever had. I can't remember the name of the massage therapist, but she knew exact what she was doing (not all massage therapists do, unfortunately, and you often don't find out until it's too late!) and used several different techniques to relieve my muscle tension, including deep tissue massage, accupressure, and thai massage.
One of the best things about the Wellness Center is that it feels serene without trying hard. It's not trying to be a fancy spa with so-called "luxuries" that really just end up increasing prices without that much benefit to the client. Those looking for a "spa-experience" might think the massage rooms are spartan, but those looking for a great massage for an excellent price in a relaxing setting will be very very pleased. The Wellness Center is neat and clean an when you arrive, you will be greeted by very kind people and offered and assortment of teas while you wait.
It truly is a Wellness Center! I recommend it heartily!
Great massage!

Really the best massage I've had. The therapeutic massage I received from Kathy was SO much better than a salon massage - no comparison. I have many knots in my back and legs and after an hour, they were all gone. I felt great afterwards - not sore at all like I've felt after a salon massage. The staff was nice and made sure I was comfortable throughout my experience. I thought the prices were reasonable before I came in and after my experience, I know I got my money's worth. Great place!
- Pros: timely, reasonable prices, comfortable, relaxing
The most amazing massage ever

The massage I had at The Wellness Center was the best massage i've ever had. Stephanie was my massage therapist and I went for deep tissue. She pin pointed all my stresses and she was so experienced. She was confident and I loved every single minute of my experience at The Wellness Center.
I can't wait to go back!
- Pros: experienced, professional,
- Cons: far from where i live
I love to float my aches and pains away!

After a float, I feel mentally and physicaly renewed without a care in the World! I always book a float the day before I plan on competing in a triathlon or a 100 mile bike ride. That way, I know I will be in top physical and mental shape for my event! It works for me every time!
- Pros: The friendly and caring staff!
- Cons: None
Soooo nice!

My fiance treated me to a massage at the Wellness Center for Valentine's Day and it was a wonderfully relaxing way to begin the day. The staff is very professional and they set you at ease without much fuss or worry. The environment is very calm and soothing and the 1/2 hour massage that I experienced was a nice escape from the common stresses of everyday life. There was no chatter or smalltalk necessary and she really zoned in on my tense muscles. It was a nice treat and I will definitely be going back!
Great massage!

The Wellness Center located in a residential area of south Minneapolis near Lake Nokomis is a great place to get a massage. It's nothing fancy or frilly but the rooms are comfortable, relaxingly lit with soothing music, and they have an ambiance somewhere between a doctor's office and nice hotel. They offer you hot tea or water when you arrive. They have products on shelves that you can peruse. And, after your massage there is a glass of water waiting for you at the front desk where they remind you to drink plenty of water and recommend taking an epsom salt bath and relaxing when you get home. They offer other services like a flotation tank but I've never been. One of their therapists uses sound waves via tuning forks to get your muscles back in tune. It may "sound" crazy but it worked for me. We've recommended friends and they say that it was the best massage they've ever had--check it out!
- Pros: all good
This is the place for a great massage!

This was my first visit to The Wellness Center, and I look forward to many more. I drove in a blizzard to get there, but my stress began to melt the moment I walked in, as I was greeted by a very soothing, relaxing environment and offered a delicious cup of tea. In addition to needing to de-stress from the pressures of job and daily life, I have chronic back and neck pain from a serious car accident that happened four years ago, which at times prohibits my very active lifestyle of biking, skiing, dancing, etc. My massage with Dawn surpassed my expectations for relaxation and relief. I am so impressed with her experience and knowledge of muscular injury . She was able release lower-back pain that a month of chiropractic work was not able to touch. My experience went far beyond what I am used to in a one-hour massage, and I have worked with many different therapists in town. I am looking forward to living a life of less pain with regular visits to the Center, and also checking out all the other services they offer. Highly recommended!
