SPELL IT (AND SAY IT) CORRECTLY, PLEASE!!

I'm a life long northeast boy... please stop saying and spelling it "Jaro's" (pronouncing it "Jar-ohs") it's Jaros'!! (pronounced "Jare-us's") it still baffles me how most people mispronounce it and insist that they're saying it the right way when I (or someone else) corrects them.

Popular Northeast Minneapolis pub named for the basketball great and former owner.

Bearing the name of a onetime basketball hero (and former owner), the narrow pub can be quite claustrophobic. It's packed almost nightly with a youngish crowd, most of them imbibing the sweet lime-and-vodka concoction, "Greenie." Proudly displayed on the walls are a collection of photographs from Jaro's NBA days, when the Lakers were based in Minneapolis, back in the late '40s and early '50s.

OMG, I love it!!

This NE bar is fun and across from Psycho Suzies and down the street from The Sample Room. It has long-time NE residents, new NE yuppies...all walks of life, stylish, cool crowd. Plus, they have their "special" drinks, the greenies and pinkies, which are always fun!! I saw a bridal party girl fighting with a pretty, girly-girl looking girl. It was super-duper.

• Cons: No Credit Cards
