The largest co-op in the nation, REI sells everything needed to survive in the outdoors to members and non-members alike: sleeping bags for below-zero temperatures, GPS units, climbing gear, rations and more. For the more casual outdoor enthusiast, the store also sells tents, kayaks, bicycles, snowboards, skis, luggage, footwear and outdoors-oriented clothing for men, women and children.

Lots of Fun!

This place has got a great selection on outdoor gear. Plus, it gives you some great ideas for new activities you hadn't thought of trying. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful. They don't pressure you to buy. Prices are a bit higher than most but if you are a member you get a dividend credit at the end of the year for all full price items so it pays off. Quality is top notch.
