Self-service restaurant satisfies budget-conscious families with all-you-can-eat, all-American home-style cooking.

by Gina Goff

In Short
A strip-mall mainstay throughout U.S. suburbs, this buffet-style restaurant caters to ravenous families who pay a flat per-head fee for all the comfort food they can chow down. Serving stations present everything from fried chicken to shrimp scampi, macaroni and cheese to steamed veggies. A do-it-yourself dessert bar allows diners to make their own sugary indulgence from a supply of brownies and cakes, syrupy toppings and multiple flavors of soft-serve ice cream.

Felt nasty after dinner

by feltishy

UMMMM.. The soup tasted like a pasture, the employees were very friendly and did a great job!! This place has the very best in people watching next to the local fair. Please note!! It would be a very good idea to brush up on your multi cultural skills or manners prior to showing up.

  • Pros: Intereresting zoo life
  • Cons: If you are anything other than caucasion and or normal weight you will love this shack!!

Sunday brunch is great!

by narzo

Went ot OCB for Sunday brunch and was VERY surprised at how good it was. The Eggs Benedict, my personal fav., was excellent. It's a popular item so fresh ones are brought out about every 5 minutes (maybe much more often). Tried the eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, waldorf salad, milk, everything was great. For $7 (the price of just the eggs benny most places) it's the best breakfast value in town!

  • Pros: fresh, lots of choices, bargain!

They must have heeded the reviews. :)

I was just there today and found the food hot and fresh. The bins full, the place was clean and busy. they didn't mix old & new food, they replaced the whole bin.

The manager was a working manager, on the move, smiling, and busing and lugging and working. They had 2 people watching, filling and cleaning the hot and cold food bins.

I think the trick to this and other buffet's is to get there at the start of the meal when the food first comes out of the kitchen, and the place is fully staffed.

Nothing fancy here, but I stuffed myself with good food - I'll be back.

  • Pros: Cheap, Hot & fresh, no surprises
  • Cons: same stuff every day
