My roommate and I have started to make brunch at the Edina Grill a weekly tradition. The service isn't spectacular but that is balanced out by the bloody mary's, coffee and food. If you get a booth by the window in the bar area, the suburban upper-middle class people watching is great- if you're into that sort of thing!

My family went on Saturday for breakfast and after placing our orders, it took almost 45 minutes to get our food. The waitress had also forgotten the side orders that we had placed originally. Then at the end of the poor dining experience, she mumbled some comments that my family was too anxious and needed to be more pleasant. My family will never go back and I would advice others to avoid the Edina Grill as well.

Cons: Slow service, Insulting waitress

Just went there last nite and tonite (Father's Day 05). Both times quite tasty. Do the seafood stew, it's great. One quibble: how about closing the windows when it's 90 degrees folks? Other than that, great servers, and the food is primo.

Pros: Specials, Service, Breakfasts

Cons: Too warm on hot days

After searching the neighborhood for good breakfast/brunch spots, ALL have fallen short of the Edina Grill's breakfast (which is conveniently served all day for those late risers or those who enjoy breakfast for dinner). Great menu of sweet and savory choices to satisfy every palette (and I've tried almost all of them). I could eat the Jack cakes every day and the breakfast burrito is big enough for at least 2 people! Also appreciate the environmentally friendly "towel" napkins.

Pros: b-fast all day, easy parking, friendly service

Edina Grill is a nice, casual restaurant with tasty food, however I disagree with the rating of it being kid friendly. There were very few items on the menu that either my 4 or 6 year old would like. Hamburgers, pancakes and a grilled cheese sandwich were really only the food items either might eat. They did not offer a "kid menu". Also, the restaurant did not offer a kid like activity at the table such as crayons and paper. It is noisy so your neighbor at the next table won't be distracted by your crying kid but at least they offer wine and beer so you can take the edge off. Go to Edina Grill for a date night not a family night.

Pros: good food, hip

Cons: noisy, not kid friendly, limited menu

This place isn't good. We've given it half a dozen tries over the past few years -- both for breakfast and dinner. The service is awful ... slow and impersonal. I always feel like I have to apologize for interrupting something. The menu is tired as it needs to be freshened up and get some more depth. Yes there are some interesting combinations for the taste buds, but everything that seems to come out of the kitchen is a bit off. Do yourself a favor and walk across the street to Tejas for great meal.

Pros: Location

Cons: Poor Service, Tired Menu, Poorly Prepared Food

We went to the Edina Grill last weekend for the first time. The service was slow at first, but attentive once we were noticed (the place was near empty). The menu had several dishes that sounded good. I settled on the Turkey Burger, but am pretty sure I actually got the Falafel Sandwich. If not, that's the weirdest Turkey Burger I've ever seen. In any case, it was tasty and moist. The aioli on top was very good. They must have given me four potatoes worth of ranch cut fries, which I don't usually like, but these were perfectly cooked. My boyfriend had the Ahi Tuna Melt and enjoyed it. Overall, nothing spectacular, but good if you're hungry and in the area.
