Great happy hour
by CSMobileUser3
If strong drinks and cheap food turns you on, then happy hour at the Sunshine Factory is for you. With appetizers ranging in price from $3.95 to $6.95, you can afford to try everything! The Sunshine has a great and spacious outdoor deck that people flock to from noon to midnight. And if you find yourself unable to leave, happy hour starts up again at 9:00 with a cheeseburger special for $3.95! Enjoy!
Brand new breakfasts
by RsMom
Happy to share that the new breakfasts are HUGE and that it is great to have drinks for only $1.00!
Brunch buffet is missed but will be served on holidays.
The complimentary caramel pecan rolls are delicious.
The staff is impressive too!
Good food and surprisingly good service!

After reading a couple other reviews we were concerned about the service but decided to try it anyway based on the food recommendations. We were pleasantly surprised with attentive service from staff, and the food was a good as we had hoped for. Wait staff was polite, quick, and responsive, including when sending a steak back for a bit more atttention. Wild rice soup was creamy and thick. Walleye with cracker crumb crust, shrimp, sirloin steaks were all well-prepared, lightly seasoned. Broccoli was served as a large, bright green bouquet with a side of creamy chicken sauce. Another school district staffer leaving the place said the salmon special was excellent.
- Pros: prompt, friendly service, good food
- Cons: skimpy salad
Best kid's meals in town.

We love sunshine factory. The kid's meal are the best quality and a great value for the money.
There is a wonderful variety and the food is always very tasty.
We go often and never get sick of it.
Great Food!! Great Drinks!!
by flyingpuppy99
Food was great! Service was pretty good. We sat in the bar area which has a differant menu from the nicer side. I like the bar menu better. Great cocktails also. Even the kids loved the food.
Give this place a try.
- Pros: Wild rice soup, food, drinks
- Cons: service is not always the best but ok
It's a shame someone who knows the restaurant biz doesn't buy this place...

I love SF's Chicken Wild Rice Soup but the only way to do food from here is to call ahead and pick it up. The food is over-priced which would be worth it if the staff had any interest in serving customers. The service is terrible. There have been several times we have had to walk out due to no service. It's a shame since it could be such a great bar but unfortunately they just don't care to wait on anyone. Very disappointing.
- Pros: Chicken Wild Rice Soup
- Cons: Service
Sunshine Factory
by Eaner
A great family place for dinner, reasonable pricing, great portions. The bar is a great place to hang.
This suburban eatery's dual personality means it appeals to just about everyone.

In Short
Divided into two sides--the bistro and the restaurant--the Sunshine Factory's dual personality may explain its enduring popularity. The restaurant side boasts dark wood, white tablecloths and generous portions. It's a bit more refined than the casual, family-friendly bistro. The bistro's loyal clientele take over the outdoor deck at the first sign of melting snow. Juicy prime rib and crumb-coated walleye are the restaurant's signature dishes. The bistro's innovative menu offers walleye sandwiches andgrilled chicken-raspberry salad.

I don't know if it's still as good as it was when we first went there 15 years ago. Memories tend to improve with age. However they still have the best prime rib I've even found... bar none. The wildrice chicken soup is fantasic, an also the clam chowder is the best I've found in Minnesota. To top it I had to go to Honalulu. The food is always of great quality, and large portions. My only issue is that over the years the waitstaff may not be quite as friendly and accomodating as they once were.
- Pros: Clam Chowder, Prime Rib, Chicken wildrice soup
